Pheasant Run Golf Course

Course was in great shape greens were really nice and fairways were also in pretty good shape. Besides the geese everything is great. Was pretty surprised by the guy in the pro shop. He had a pretty bad attitude which kinda just soured the morning. Also I was also pretty surprised the bar and grill didn’t open til 11 on a Saturday, seems like they have enough play on a weekend to open for breakfast. We were able to get drinks and water as there was one woman working but no breakfast was a bummer.

It’s a cool course with a great layout and excellent greens. Pheasant run is a long, championship track that’s almost always in good shape. Tons of water so get your numbers right, especially on the two island style par 3’s. Great finishing stretch too culminating with a reachable par 5 also with an island style green. Palm trees everywhere and nice homes lining every hole give this place a resort vibe. When the fairways are running and the wind is up, it can play a little linksy, which is fun. Finish off your round with a bite to eat at the nice restaurant/bar they have onsite. I’ve played a lot of courses in the valley, this is one of my favorites.

However there’s been more bad than good my last two visits, won’t be going until they fix the issues. Fairways are in horrible condition, lots of patchy dirt areas. Had some great drives down the middle of the fairway only to lad in patchy dirt areas. Almost unavoidable in some holes. And it’s not just small patches there’s huge unavoidable sections. Some are so bad you can seriously scratch up your clubs. Bring a couple beat up clubs to get you out of those areas.

Also the golf course neighbors like to jump around the course, get in front of you, or right behind and hit near you. Last time we had no one behind us for a few holes that we could tell, then all of a sudden we had a group waiting for us at the tee to clear the greens, on the next hole they decided to hit right behind us that I had to have a talk with them. This most current time, same thing happened no one behind me for a couple holes, then all of a sudden a guy right behind us. Also there was no one in front of me and this group all of a sudden was on the 6th hole in front of me, playing some type of scramble game. I get it they’re the locals, but they should also have some respect. Out of 4 times golfing there, I’ve never seen a Marshall

Course was in good condition and greens were very well kept up. Allot of water hazards around the course which makes it interesting. Course was very busy and pace of play was surprisingly good. Would play again.

The course is well kept and friendly staff, course layout was challenging for me with lots of water challenges. Large complex greens and hole placements. I enjoyed playing here and will definitely ply here again

We enjoy the course. The times we have gone it has been slow and it really just makes you a bit impatient, but overall the course is nice and the food is good.

Enjoyed the course with greens in great shape. Some of the fairways little dry with hard pan showing in some areas which you need to avoid as ball can go beyond playable lie if you hit in those areas. Pace of play was great that made for a 3 1/2 hour round.

Overall a good experience with clubhouse and pro shop staff very friendly and accommodating. You have to try the Portuguese sausage sandwich!

Fun coarse and some challenging holes, I will play this coarse again.

I enjoy playing here. The course layout is goo and probably a medium challenge. It's one of my favorites from Atwater to Fresno. The geese are getting to be a bit much though. I had to dodge the turds whenever I got out of my cart. Not sure what the staff can do about it but it's getting worse!

Nice layout. Was in good shape: very slow play. The guys in front of us were oblivious. Still had fun.

Played on Oct 20. The course fairways could use some rain, but the greens are excellent.

Course was busy but pace was very good. 18 holes in just under 4 hours.

The course is in great shape, greens are rolling very true. Eric and the staff is always very friendly always welcoming me.
