Greens were in solid condition but have the opportunity to be better if only people would fix their divots.

Second time playing

First time playing this course the fairways were a little waterlogged, so I said I would play another round for a true experience. The course was in good shape and for me somewhat challenging. Played from the white tees, course has a lot of angles but the biggest plus for me was pace-of-play, I actually stopped playing for a while because I just can't spend 6 hours on a golf course. So pace-of-play was really good this day.

First Timer

First time playing this course, but it will not be the last. By far some of the best conditions I have played in Atlanta this season. Greens were just about perfect, fairways were green and full. Maybe could use a few more yardage markers, but that's about it. Nice facilities all around and out on the course as well. LOVED the elevation changes, which made club selection critical. Rangers were doing their best to keep the folks moving, but the course was pretty full. Ended up playing as a twosome in 4:20 on a Wednesday morning.

Second Run

First time I played course was not in good shape due to the rain, wet conditions which effected the pace of play. This time around I had a chance to play the course in perfect weather conditions. Pace of play was good, the greens were in good shape. What made this course challenging for me is the various lay angles it presents. If your iron play is off it will be a little difficult.

Fun course with huge potential... needs work

Played Marlo for the first time this weekend. The location and layout of the course is fun and eye catching - basically a tour of beautiful homes while golfing - very much a "neighborhood" course. The staff was also friendly, they even served us at the bar while an Easter event was going on - thank you.

The course itself... rough. The layout is challenging but a little cheesy. Some hole's layouts are a tad ridiculous. Tee boxes are non existent, and more than half of the fairways are seriously chewed up. Around the greens were in terrible shape. The greens were actually solid and rolled very true. The bunkers were also in prime condition, possibly the best sand I've been around in a while Overall, the course has unreal potential but the cosmetics are just very very far behind..... not worth $75

Has Potential but needs help

Course layout is challenging and fun. Course is in bad shape, needs significant investment in turf management. Several fairways and greens in terrible condition. They should offer a free bucket of balls with a round for the rates they are charging. The staff were all friendly. Not a great course overall, but interesting enough to play once a year.

St Marlo Madness, baby!

We played after a storm the previous day, so the fairways and in front of the greens were wet. The greens themselves were fantastic! Only gripes only saw the beer cart on hole 2… then? Also fellow golfers fill in the fairway divots! Especially in winter when the grass is dormant! I landed in so many !
