Top Public Course in Atlanta!
St. Marlo is a great public course in the Atlanta area, might be one of the best! Visually stunning with renaissance-era-like stone work that lines the course. This course definitely plays difficult and you can get in trouble quickly. Might be a little pricey but its definitely a good test of golf!
Needs improving
First the good, fairways are nice, they are putting money into the course with sod and fixing cart paths, you can see they are trying to improve. Now the reality, greens were aerated recently, which they told you about but they are struggling. There are burnt spots, bare spots and not in great shape. Hopefully with some sun and more rain they will come back. The course is worth a hot deal, but when prices reach close $100 they need to be better!
Not impressed
I know the green had been punched but the greens and many other areas on the course are not kept up. I suggest spending some money and and getting the course in better shape and you could even charge more.
St Marlo
I’ve been here a few times seems to be getting worse. Course is always wet, greens are in bad shape not counting aeration. Front desk not the friendliest and range wasn’t open til 930 while a lot of people were waiting for them to open and I didn’t really get to use the range because of it. Not counting the slow play here, waited on every hole. Won’t come back. Wouldn’t recommend it
St. Marlo was in nice shape. Greens were good. Fairways were nice as well. Most of the tees were good.

St. Marlo CC is in excellent condition.
St. Marlo CC is in excellent condition. Greens are in good shape & rolling well. Fairways & most of the tees look great.
Marlo
This is a good course pace was excellent greens in good shape people need to learn how to repair ball marks on the greens. Only bad is this course always seems a little wet. Not sure if it’s their watering or what but I’ve never played this course and it’s dry.
BRING A SUITCASE. Going to take awhile to play 18 holes!!!
First and last time playing here. $110 for the round. A bit high but unfortunately Atlanta is the home of private clubs. So not a lot of mid tier public courses to choose from. Left after 12 holes. Already at 4 hours. No Marshalls on course. Though there were 2 at the driving range and putting green. Lol. Even emailed the manager. Great response back offering a replay. Said unusual that long. Thought I’d try again. Replied back a day and some times to replay. No reply. Emailed again. No reply. Then replied back they didn’t see my 4 prior emails. Then they ask me to confirm day and time again. I do, and yep, you guessed it. No reply days later. In fact, still no reply as of this review.
Like the saying goes: So goes the leader, so goes the business. To bad. Would have liked to have given a decent review, but how can you after this experience? For the price, go 10 minutes farther and play Echelon in Alpharetta. Top public course and around the same price. Will be a much better experience.
Fun course and friendly employees
They improved the course conditions l, installed water filters, maintain course amenities very well. Starter and Marshalls also super friendly. Always enjoy playing here
Worst cart paths in the country
They said they spent $2mil renovating the cart paths on the back nine…they got ripped off. Absolute worst cart paths out of any course in the US. Even city courses are better. Then they decided it was a cart path only day! So, not only do you chance having several herniated discs in your back from the holes and cliffs you drive across throughout the entire course, you also get to walk to your ball every time you hit it! They should be paying us to play right now. FIX YOUR CART PATHS!!!!
