Putting Greens

The putting greens need to be replaced immediately. The type of grass on the putting greens were as thick as most fairways. Absolutely unacceptable. Will not be returning. Please use some of your budget to re sod. I know I’m not the 1st person to address this issue.

Poor use of back nine starting

Started on back 8 holes, and when making the turn the starter had let groups start on hole 1. Thusly causing an interruption of pace of play . Once starting play on back 8 holes all starts should be made on back 8.

Needs work

Beautiful course and lovely lay out but the greens were covered in clovers so every putt was like a rollercoaster ride. That being said the staff was amazing!

Not worth it

First time playing from Sunnyvale. Layout was ok. Greens were terrible. Not just bumpy, but so many dirt spots on the greens. Good luck making a putt farther than 2ft. Fairways were the same. Huge mounds of dirt in the middle of the fairways. Why? I mean like mounds that you could ramp a bike off of. One guy I played with said he only plays there because he has the resident card and can quit after 9 holes. We ended up playing up to hole 13 and quitting it was so bad. Not worth the drive. Plus, even though you are right by the ocean on the back 9, you never see it. So no good views. Won’t play again. Just save up and play half moon bay if you are in the area instead. Plus it smelled. Either the trees or grass, but whatever it was, I’ve never smelled that before. My irons still smell of it even after cleaning them.

Sharp Park ; Playing at it’s best !!

Sharp is playing pretty sharp these days. Course is well groomed. The cut is clean and beautiful. The club choices have changed in recent play. Come out and play. This is clearly the best time of year to visit

Not as great as the online photos

Poor green conditions - bumpy bumpy and more bumpy

One porta potty in the front nine so people pee everywhere they need to.

Don’t know how tee times that reserved fall so far behind by midday.

People walking off the course before the 5th hole due to slow play, puts you in a negative mood.

It’s been 13 years since the last time I played and I definitely won’t return until it’s renovated and plays like a

Golf course.

Green still need some work

Fairway was pretty good, but the green still need some upkeep. Couple greens, there literally patches all over which cause the ball to bounce as it roll to the pin. I think hole 1 green need the most work.

Sharp Park Bad

Course in poor condition. Greens were bumpy, tee areas bare and uneven, pace of play after the 3rd hole was slow. With a lot of work this course could be improved a lot.

Sharp’s Park

I grew up learning the game here and always enjoyed the experience of the course . But I haven’t played here in 7 years due to the bad reviews I had heard from other golfers. I was pleasantly surprised at the good condition of the course and my son and I had a very enjoyable round. However, the course needs to. E brought into the 21st century. The infrastructure of the course needs to be modernized. With the riight care this course would be a true gem that I would gladly pay more to play.

Great course but pace of play is awful

3 1/2 hours to play 9 holes is pretty bad. No rhythm and waited 35 minutes ion hole 5 and waited every hole after that. Love the layout. Wished they charged a little extra and improve the grounds.

Shaping up for the season

Sharp is playing pretty well now that the wet season is over. The holes across the road ALL have the flags on the real putting green. 2 holes I noticed have been altered in their respective fairways. They have added more heavy long grass / marsh. So it challenges you to lay up / risk rewards / or play smarter. I snagged a good price using GN rewards.

Fun course, good value

Played in the afternoon with a GN hot deal. We are visiting the area and played a week before. Course is drying out and a little better this week. Some fairways still soggy with high grass. Tee boxes need to have the grass cut. Its been a while since the rough has been cut...very long and juicy. Nice course, but the maintenance is only OK. Greens are bumpy on the back 9 because there are different types of grass. Pace was OK...a walking 2some was slowing down 3 or 4 groups but they were clueless. No marshal on the course so we made the best of it. We love the layout and feel of the course...could be great with some investment.

Terrible upkeep

No doubt this course was once a gem, but now it’s a cow pasture. Weeds are everywhere, even around the clubhouse. Cart paths are extremely bumpy. Carts are old and are in need of repair of damaged parts. Took almost 3 hours to play 9 holes so we left early. No refund for free fee or cart fees. Bathrooms are barely approachable . . water and papers on the floors. Overall, not a good experience.
