Fortunate to have played, very much hope to play again
A friend invited me to play The Ocean Course at Olympic Club this weekend and the place blew me away. The view on tee 5 is legendary. The course is in pristine shape, and it's skillfully designed. The elevation changes are gradual, so it's a nice walking course, but are severe enough to alter your shot selection. The bunkering is beautiful and well placed, frequently making for more challenging shots.
Staff was very friendly, the range was great, and the clubhouse was also terrific. I'm very much looking forward to playing again. This is probably one of the 20 best courses I've ever played, and one I enjoyed quite a bit.
