Always an enjoyable round!
Rancho Vista is a gem in terms of layout and course condition. It’s always great to not have to deal with Los Angeles traffic. One of those courses you’ll never tire of playing.
Best winter conditions you’ll find
I’ve been playing at Rancho Vista since day one in the year 2000. It has always been a fun course to play and a good test of skill. The course went thru a management change in the last year or so, and the new company has really done a great job maintaining the course conditions throughout the year. This winter however, I have noticed the green and fairway conditions are superb for a desert course. Lush green color(no paint), not a lot of ball mark scars, and the fairways are the same.
Price on Fridays is a little steep for some, but for the conditions you get, it’s well worth the drive( I come up from Santa Clarita). Give it a shot, you won’t be disappointed.
What a great golf course it was!
It's a bit far away from my home, but it's a great golf course whenever I have a chance.
What a Joke
They booked a large group of people who have never played golf. If I didn't jump in front of a couple of groups, the round would have easily exceeded 6 hours. Staff was rude and didn't care.
Best bang for your Buck
Course is in great shape, cant beat the price to play right now
Rancho Vista
Great track, greens are great, roll fast and true. Fairways are pretty open, greens are big and course is well maintained
Double Charge For Carts
Single golfer that was not allowed to have his own cart and had to pay to share one because they “didn’t have enough carts” when there is 29 open slots that could be booked right this second just between 915am and 12pm. The man at the front lied directly to my face saying they multiple times. I knew I would have to leave early to go to work about an hour anway and apparently, here, you “pay for a seat in a cart, not a cart.” It does not list this on the website and I must add, for context, that I recently shared a cart with a different random single a few weeks ago at another course and it turned out that he was playing sick. The guy got me sick (102 fever) so I was adamant about not playing with a random today after that happened. Courses have to stop doing this and lying to your customer is never the way.
