Antelope Valley Country Club

I really had a great time playing this course. The course Pro was very nice and made sure to give tips and welcomed us to the course. Greens are comparable to Angeles National at a third of the price! I am definitely going back to this course 3 or 4 times a year. A bit too far from the SCV to be a member but a great value. The bunkers could use a little more sand as there were a few rocks in there but overall a great place to play.

Not many courses will make you hit various yardages, but here allows for all sorts of interesting shots. Greens were nice and the course was very winter-ish (yellow grass, looks like hitting off mats). But, would recommend.

The round would have been a complete success. Unfortunately, at check in, we were told that only the back 9 world be open because of the current aeration they were doing in the front side. Would have been nice if they made note of these dates on their website. None the less. It was still a good day.

At arrival Drew at the pro shop was awesome.

Professional courteous and kind.

Shot a practice bucket on the sand dune driving range. Super cool. Chipping greens have balls already lined up for practice. Another bonus.

The food. Phenomenal. And the employees at the bar and restaurant were also Professional courteous and kind.

I was paired with 3 friendly guys. Staff was polite but Unfortunately the club house will not serve you a cocktail unless you were with member. Never heard of such a thing before. This is very unwelcoming rule that needs to be addressed asap. Course layout was good but i suggest you keep it private so there no confusion on your limited access to all amenities. In short, we cut our round short and left after 9 holes.

Staff is good. The course is nice but expect slow play even during the week. It seems members of the chorus take their sweet time.

Fast greens, beautiful fairways, The course layout surrounded by Joshua trees and homes create a small wind barrier which makes this one my best choice in the Antelope Valley

The green condition was EXCELLENT. It is very fast but soft enough to stop a ball. more likely PGA green.

The front 9 holes layouts are pretty good... The back 9 holes are so so. Basically al of Par 5 holes are too simple.

I have played almost every golf course in Southern CA that if you want to test your putting skills, must go to Antelope Valley NOW which is the best in 60 miles range from LA.

The greens are amazing. Smooth and true, very fast but not impossible. Jjust so nice to putt on. This is how all greens should be everywhere.

As for the course, well, they have made a couple changes over the last decade or so, a couple re-routing and lengthening and shortening. But it’s still the same fun course through the desert landscape and the Joshua trees.

Always a fun place to play. And I’m glad it’s open to the public now so we get to play it!

I used to be a member but left when course conditions became unbearable. Over the past year AVCC has devoted 100% to improving the fairways which has helped me decide to return as a member. Course conditions should always be the priority. I am glad to see AVCC has figured out the priorities.
