Golfer Reviews
Don’t waste your money
Don’t not play this course for at least a month
Greens pinched PILES of sand on the greens
Front nine closed for construction had to play the back twice course it’s self in terrible condition
Not worth what they are charging
Spend your money at Links at Lakehouse or Dos Osos
Range balls are all beat and worn down. Range mats are old and have divots, they ALL need replacing. “Trackman” monitors don’t work.
Course is over watered and soggy. Green have 5 different green speeds. And they are all inconsistent. Nearly all bunkers are water logged and force you to drop out of them with the amount of standing water in them.
If you paid for a cart you can only use it for about 1/2 of the round. And they DO NOT tell you consistently which holes are cart path only.
They have a marshall tell you to get off the fairway without proper signage or noticed which holes are carry path.
You’ll also see the same marshalls let other people drive on the same fairway you were on, the only difference is that they are playing on a different hole.
I would not recommended this course. Take the drive and play at Links at Lake house or Dos Osos. Your money would be better spent there, better conditions and a friendly staff.
I never heard of this course I would consider it a hidden gem. Great varied layout in very good shape considering how hot it was down there. Pace was a little slow as course was very busy
Average course
Greens are slow - looks like they’re getting ready for maintenance/green punching. layout was good with some holes requiring precise tee shots. pace of play was horrible-no course marshal.
Vineyard
A lot of holes were cart path only. Most tee boxes were sloping and grass was sparse. Some of the rough areas between fairways were without grass. For what we paid for green fees, not worth it.
Soggy and dry fairways at Best
Mostly a nice course but fairway and teeboxes were soggy and muddy. It was either too wet in the middle of the fairways and/or too dry and hitting off dirt just a bit off the rough. Slipped at least 3 times on the teeboxes and the fairways and rough were muddy. I hasn't rained in over 3 weeks so not sure why the course was wet and muddy. Maybe the course will dry up we can come back to play.
Overall good
A few greens were really torn up and a sand trap or two were muddy, but I love the layout
Decent for time of year
Greens were playing good, tee boxes were okay for the most part, some fairways were rough. Not too bad considering time of year and the heat we’ve been dealing with.
9 25
Started on the back 9. Whe made it to the front a tournament was starting so they allowed us to play the back 9 again to avoid delay. The maintenance guys were following us all day on our 1st nine. Super annoying. The statwas nice but could do nothing except give a couple of drink tickets. Very disappointing experience. They should have disclosed the maintenance and tournament
Great afternoon
Best staff anywhere! Course a little rough in places but being addressed. Thank you to the staff.
Course in rough shape
It’s end of summer so I know courses get a lot of play and get beat up, not to mention it’s been crazy hot in SD…but Vineyard was in the roughest shape I’ve seen in a while. Patchy greens with weeds growing through or dead grass, several areas no grass in the fairways, bunkers were basically clay. Feel as though it wasn’t worth the $100 they charged given the conditions.
