Maderas Golf Club

My wife and I enjoyed our round at Maderas yesterday. The course was beautiful and in great shape. The entire staff was friendly and helpful.

Course is in an unbelievable location. Upon arrival everything was top notch. Staff was pleasant and very accommodating. Conditions were great and in course maintenance was very considerate. The layout was beautiful. The course is challenging but open. I’ll definitely be going back.

I think this course while not wildly overrated isn't nearly as nice as most seem to. Greens were slow and bunkers were marginal at best. Staff was very stuffy and seemed to interact with the well to do over the normal players. Steele Canyon is a great golf course, solid step up, better course than Maderas. if your looking for this caliber course. Much better. And closer to San Diego.

This course was in fantastic condition. A great course and great staff. I would recommend this course to everyone

I really enjoyed the course. Challenging up and downhill layout. You need to be thoughtful about distance, and accuracy is key. Many trouble spots, but overall very playable.

Marshall’s were rushing us even though we spent likely $300 at the bar and concessions throughout the day. We finished at 4.5 hours and were right on the group in front of us. Took a long time to get concessions even though we preordered before the turn but food and drink were solid. Course was in great shape. Tough pin placements. Great bar post round. Would absolutely play again. Was a little disappointed to see the range was on mats but it was fine.

This was my second visit to Maderas.

It was just as good as my first visit, which was very good. Beautiful course, beautiful surrounding area, friendly staff, and in great condition.

That about covers it. Play it.

We played mid-late June and the course was perfect. Greens rolled a little fast and firm, which took a lot of break out of putts. Overall, the perfect day.

Side note: I ordered the miso glazed chicken skewers after we played in the restaurant. Avoid! Chicken was dried out and lacked flavor, rice tasted like tap water and it didn't come with the grilled pineapple as advertised. But DO order the breakfast burrito from the snack bar. That was amazing!
