Compact course
Great conditions on a tiny and narrow course. Flack jacket and helmet ease your concerns. Price is right though.

this course is OLD
Layout is odd, greens and pace of play are slow ,if you are newer to the game or at the end of your game then play here, otherwise stick to one of the many real courses in this area

Just okay
Greens had mixed grass and a little difficult to judge. I knew it was a short course going in, and it’s good distance for non-Bryson types. Fairways were in good shape and not too heavily treed. It was an okay day for the price.

Somewhat Challenging
This is not a long course, but it is very challenging because of narrow fairways and location of the greens.

Friendly staff but needs Marshall
Nice older course but maintained well. Great scenery and super friendly staff. Only concern was pace of play. Short course and almost 5 hours, with lots of waiting - that didn't need to be - foursome ahead of us had 2-1/2 empty holes ahead of them by 15th

Poor communications
We had a 2:15 tee time, which should have allowed plenty of time before sunset to finish the round. The course does not have marshals, which adds to the slow pace of play.
Yesterday as we were about to tee off on the back nine the cart manager informed us that all carts were to be returned by 6:30, about 30 minutes before sunset!
No one, from the pro shop, starter or even Golf Now, alerted us to this requirement!
When you pay to play 18 holes, you expect to to be able to finish the round.

Good round. Deadly slow. Not one person stayed home from the seniors facility. Very unaware of pace or their surroundings.

Tight course surrounded by homes
If you’re not in the fairway, you’re either on another fairway or on someone’s private property. The footprint is so small I’m amazed they were able to fit a whole golf course in there. I’ve never played from the back tees before, but the course is very short and so it was necessary. I wouldn’t recommend it except if you are a junior or beginner golfer.

Overall the Course is great but is far to flat. Believe most of the fairways should be moulded.

Solid older course
The Shadow Mountain course is scenic and playable. While the fairways are generally wide, the overall feeling while playing is that it is very cramped, needing about 30% more acreage to work better. Tee boxes are narrow and in many instances two or three tee boxes are within a stone’s throw of each other. Signage for navigating the course could be better - a map of the course on the scorecard would hep. Housing is very close to some fairways and many tee boxes. Of course, nothing can be done about the cramped arrangement, but it is a problem that reduces the good feeling while playing there. There was a club event ahead of us and the course played very slow: for a shortish course, five hours for 18 holes is too long. The course is in good condition, greens were very playable and even the traps were in good shape. Not much water was in play. The greens fees are a bargain.
