Shadow Mountain Golf Course

Walked off after 9 when there was 4 groups on the 10th hole with no marshal in site.

I'm not sure how this course could stay in business when they allow 3-4 groups on every hole; have no marshals to keep people moving; and I'm guessing, get business because the name sounds like another course that's really nice.

On top of that, Golf Now does not allow people to actually read the reviews that have been written for some reason, so nobody will get to see this comment anyway.

Had I actually been able to see comments about this course, I am guessing I would not have wasted 90.00 to play 9 holes.. yes, I had to walk away after 9 holes because there were three groups on the tee, one in the fairway and one on the green at the 10th hole.

I went off the ratings without actually looking at the course on their website. No cart girl, rough grass was very high, very cheap trailer trash vibes. A course like this is more like $50 in Arizona. Not sure why it’s more expensive here. Just as hot and in the desert.

This was a nice course. It is tight with narrow fairways and tee boxes close to greens. It is an easy walking course but you may find several novice golfers here. I would play again for a rate of no more than $60 riding. After you play is where you get your money’s worth. The staff is fabulous and the burgers/dogs on the grill and bar are awesome. The outdoor area is perfect for a cool down after play. The combination of the course and the atmosphere made this a good round. More emphasis on the after golf than the course.

This is the fifth or sixth time I have played Shadow Mountain in the past few years. Every since my first round here I have made a point of playing it at least once every trip we make to the Valley.

The course is always in great shape, it is a fun course, and everyone I have interacted with from the staff has always been extremely helpful and friendly.

Selfishly, I hesitate to give such a great review as I don't want this gem to become overly popular. That said, everyone should experience a great course with great staff at a great value compared to other courses in the region.

Course was in great shape. You need to be in the fairway Rough was penal which made it a fair challenge. Course ie definitely walkable. Not overly long but greens are protected by the bunkering.

Loved it. At 77 I don’t have the distance I once had but still broke 100.

This is an older golf course that has a tight layout.

Enjoyed playing this course. The staff were we.coming, its narrow and into the rough, the grass is on the long side so easy to lose balls.

A great community feel and although we played early, the bar area looked inviting.

The starter was disappointing, he let out a couple who’s tee time was after ours, then he walked away. We had no idea if we were a twosome or not, zero info given to us by him. The young fellow working there was great, got us ice for our bucket & very courteous, so no complaints with him. The course felt very squished compared to others in the area. We wouldn’t golf here again.

I think I set the record for this course in making bunker shots. Luckily, the sand seemed to be “forgiving,”. The greens are large and this particular morning very very slow. Nobody in our foursome figured out the speed the entire 18 holes.

It was unseasonably warm ( over 100 when we finished). Highly recommend the restaurant. The sliders and the Reuben were excellent!

Shadow mountain is a lot of fun to play , as well as enjoying the atmosphere outside . Staff is very friendly . The more I play here the more I get to know everyone working , and they have a great crew taking care of it 👍🏻

Staff was excellent. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens all in good condition. Enjoyed every aspect of my time there. Geared towards family, beginners, and non-serious golfers.

fun well contained executive course that makes you think and gives you options. Wish it was closer to home in the SF Bay area.
