Poor amenities and poor landscaping
Affordable but not a great course. Surrounded area is mobile homes and apartments. The fairway is too narrow and too closed together to homes, streets, and the other fairways. There was no practice facilities. The putting area is not with real grass to mimic the real greens. The range was a cage. Wasn’t worth for the low price.

Surprised
Disappointed that the snack bar was closed. They said it would be open until 11 a.m. but it was not. We were given $25 vouchers as first time players but could not use them after our round due to it being closed.

Enjoyed playing this historic course three days before Tropical Storm Hilary hit. Staff was friendly and professional. Course was in good shape. Playing at sunrise is the best way to beat the August heat. I'm relieved to hear they lost only one tree in the storm. Can't wait to visit and play again!

Great First Experience
This weekend was our first time at Shadow Mountain. The Pro Shop was being remodeled, but it wasn't a big deal.
The staff was helpful and friendly. The locals were great and happy to have us there.
Most tee times were early, of course in Palm Springs in the summer. But by 10 or 11, we felt like we had the place to ourselves.
Love it. Would definitely do it again.

Amazingly fun track!
My girlfriend and I enjoy playing in the desert, even in the summer. Happened upon this course through Golf Now. What a fun place to play. Conditions were very good, greens are receptive, bunkers are well kept. Old School course built in 1958…same as me 🤣. Staff is very friendly. Shout out to Lucine, wonderful lady who ran the the place the day we played.

Get it together
Great summer price.
So many maintenance workers there working on grass, sprinklers, greens, fairways, etc. (Despite that, the fairways were in pretty rough shape.)
However, there was no one serving drinks, breakfast burritos, breakfast sandwiches or anything else.
If you’re going to take everyone’s money in the morning for the round, provide a little service. I suggest simple food and drink, breakfast sandwiches and coffee.

Under construction
Overall, the course is in really rough shape. Obviously, years of neglect has taken its toll. There was a printed out sheet of paper on the golf cart, saying that it was under new management into quote. Please be patient with us while we repair a Course.“ Hopefully they’ll be able to return it into a decent condition. Course layout runs through a neighborhood. Many of the fairways are pretty tight. Easy to shank a ball into a neighborhood. Signs up saying that you’re responsible for damage done to property. Because of that I won’t be going back because I’m not that accurate of a driver yet.
