tough sand traps

For some reason during the upgrading process of the course under new management, they decided to bring in some of the softest sand I've ever encountered making it extremely difficult to blast out....it's unfairly soft and needs to be mixed with something that will make the traps firmer. High lofted shots that land in the sand are almost completely buried-ugh!!! Management-do something to correct this!!!!

Money’s Worth?

Good value at reduced PM rates. Caution … if course starts to charge a fee for Flamingo I doubt if many would use it. I certainly would not!!!

Good Value

Shadow mountain continues to be a solid golf value in the Palm Springs area. While not the longest of venues, it is challenging enough with the palm tree lines fairways. My wife and I play here regularly when vacationing. New ownership is dedicated to updating the facilities currently under construction. Overall, the course was in good shape, and we will continue to play here in the future.

Great for moderate

Well maintained course, nice sloping greens, just enough water hazards and sand traps. Some tee boxes too close together which created traffic issues with golf carts in spite of the signage. Staff super friendly and a joy to talk too plus really helpful.
