Lake Spivey Golf Club

The golf course was aerated a few weeks ago and the greens are coming in really nice the only drawback to the course is whole number 10, it holds water it was pretty sloppy but other than that it was a good day for golf.

Any holes with water is a problem for me. The pair 3 at hole number 6 has collected quite a few of my balls next the par 5 18th hole. I love playing this course when the price is right.

Big improvement to facilities course from a 3 stars to a 4.5 stars

Winter is receding and the course is rounding out nicely.

It was only my 3nd time on a golf course and by far I love this place and the lay out can’t wait to bring my brother and nephew soon. Also at a great price thanks

The course is under repair. A lot of work needs to be completed. It could be a great course if they do the right thing when it comes to upgrades. However, the Resturant is fabulous.

The course needs some work. Many of the tee boxes did not have any grass. The bunkers need to be raked.

This was not my first time playing Lake Spivey but I must admit that I'm impressed with the direction the course is taking compared to the previous years.

I treated my Dad with a Round of Golf for his Birthday and specifically chose this course because he doesn't play Golf that much and I knew the Layout and Course would suffice for his game.

Check in was very efficient and the Staff member was very welcoming. We began our round with a 30 minute head start on the group of Seniors who play the course frequently. There are 2 critical areas that I look for when I play, 1. How are the Greens, and 2. Are the Tee Boxes in good condition. The Greens at Lake Spivey had recently been punched and we didn't figure this out until we reached the Flag on the first hole. Putting was really bumpy but I can tell once the Greens heal they should roll smooth and true.

Overall the course is in Average shape, some Fairways in need of overseeding and other areas as well. For the amount I paid, the course was about what I expected. I can definitely see brighter things for Lake Spivey as we move deeper into Spring and not receive as much rain.

I will definitely play Lake Spivey again, once the weather is more consistent.

Overall good course, great customer service, greens are were aerated recently so they were bumpy and slow.

The front 9 have more water than the back 9 so make sure you know were to aim.

Pace of play was good, 4hrs in a Saturday noon time, can't complaint.

The greens need a couple of weeks to recover, but the bunkers and fairways are in very good shape.

This is a beautiful course, the greens were aerated several weeks ago and they’re still coming into their own.

I have enjoyed this course in the past. I’m encouraged by the recent and ongoing improvements. However, I would like to see better tee boxes, practice facilities, and more accurate GPS on the golf cart screen. With your prices going up, at least give me one level lie per hole (Tee shot).

The tee boxes were terrible, spotty grass, not level, and full of weeds. The greens were punched and top dressed, but was not anywhere near the quality of other courses in the area with punched greens as well. This course used to be one of my favorite to play in the area, but I don’t know if I will go back after this round. Over the last year or so I have heard good things about the course getting a “face lift” and how it was getting back to being one of the nicest courses around. But it looks to me like the “face lift” being given to this course is all going into the restaurant and clubhouse, and not to the course itself. I was highly disappointed with the golf course. My playing partner I brought with me said he would never come back to this course again.

We had a 8am tee time. Little slow getting off the first tee box, but after the 3rd hole it opened up. Greens were recently aerated, but in few weeks they should be good to go.
