Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort - North/South
About
The 27-hole golf course designed by Ted Robinson is the centerpiece of Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa. The holes are divided into the North, South, and West nines, which each offer a unique set of challenges. They are played in three different 18-hole combinations that showcase the best of California desert golf. The North/South is the shortest of the three courses. The fairways are wide but lined with swaying palms. The layout can be tight in some sport and a few holes have water hazards but overall it is a very player-friendly course. Mount Jacinto serves as a backdrop to the golf course, providing stunning scenery throughout the round. The course is popular for its playability but it also provides a conveniently quick round that can be played in less than four hours.

dissappointed!!
This course has been damaged by the rain and storm. We shoed up to play 18 and we were told we could only play 15. We were not aware of this before arriving. Driving range closed as well
Normally a great track
Nice decent course
No amenities like other courses, no cart service, traps are hard, starter is lost and doesn’t understand golf. No club house services!
Good Day fore golf
Was a nice day for golf. 78 degrees, light breeze, sunny with good friends.
The staff was awesome, I dropped my bag at the bag drop off closest to the parking lot. Checked in and came back for my clubs. GONE😳. Looked around no bag. Went to the starter’s office and asked lf he had seen them. He smiled (that worried me) and pointed to a cart with bag already strapped and ready to roll. Loaded my friend and off we went..
Like I started with, good day fore golf.
Paid for 18 but course was dug up
Played 9 holes but course was dug up and couldn’t play 18. Can I get a 8-hole voucher credit? Disappointed.
Greens were in good shape. Course was playing only 15 holes due to flooding. This was not disclosed at time of booking. Course did provide small discount.
New on this course
Course was beautiful. Greens rolled great. Couldn’t play all holes because of previous rain. Everyone one was super nice there
WET1944
We played the South and the West. The course condition was excellent especially the greens. The opening staff was quick to apologize for the first three holes of the West being closed due to the recent flooding through the wash area. He discounted the price to play. I'd play it again.
Diamond in the rough
Overall short decent course, sand traps in poor condition, lakes muddy, no beverage service on course, no one to clean clubs and starter is lost!
Not the best for after rain storms
Pretty good overall, as the course contains 3 holes that are part of wash system (drainage for heavy rain) these 3 holes may be closed after heavy rain. This was the case for our round, golfnow gave us $15 credit per player plus the staff gave us 20% proshop discount.
Partially closed
Showed up after booking online to find out 3 holes were closed due to the recent wet weather. The other 15 were fine. GolfNow credited us with the value of the missing holes.
Way overpriced.
Well maintained simple, short course. If you’re a high handicapper you’ll enjoy the lack of penalties. Every putt is straight at the hole. Hardly worth the discounted price of $80 for what the valley has to offer.
3 holes unplayable due to flooding
Booked on GolfNow as a hot deal and paid through Golf Now. The day before, I received an email stating that three holes are underwater and the round would only include 15 holes. The email stated that the round would be discounted. No discount was provided. I was informed that I would have to take the matter up with GolfNow, which is impossible. Pin placement today was also just plain weird. Several pins were placed on steep slopes. I had several puts roll back towards me. Common guys, you can do better.
First time on Rancho Las Palmas. Good day and enjoyed the round. Rating is good. Would be excellent, except for Wash areas. Was not aware course had "Wash" areas to play thru. Staff was very friendly.
