Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort - North/South
About
The 27-hole golf course designed by Ted Robinson is the centerpiece of Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa. The holes are divided into the North, South, and West nines, which each offer a unique set of challenges. They are played in three different 18-hole combinations that showcase the best of California desert golf. The North/South is the shortest of the three courses. The fairways are wide but lined with swaying palms. The layout can be tight in some sport and a few holes have water hazards but overall it is a very player-friendly course. Mount Jacinto serves as a backdrop to the golf course, providing stunning scenery throughout the round. The course is popular for its playability but it also provides a conveniently quick round that can be played in less than four hours.

Friendly and fun
We played Friday and Sunday and enjoyed both rounds. The pace is a fast or slow as you make it. The course was nearly empty as we played midday. Greens were fast and true, hit a good putt and make a birdie!
Great course
We love this course, but are biased as we used to own a condo there. West and North are the best. South is a little tight around some condos.
Cool Summer Day
First off before I go bashing this place for their greens.. they already know & they are trying to fix the situation, came out today because the temp was going to be mild for the Summer (under 90 the whole time) this is by far a resort course extra wide fairways & not much when it comes to tricks or difficulty.
Had a great time playing here & would definitely bring my friends back or stay & play here as the Resort looks great from the course.
I look at this place as you know it’s hot in the Valley for the summer so the price is right for what is currently offered. Tees, Fairways & Bunkers were all pretty good, carts are nice with GPS to the center & they have a nice little snack shack between the 9’s Again, this is not PGA West or Mission Hills but it’s a reasonably priced facility for the Desert & you should enjoy it for the most part.
An awesome first time
VERY friendly staff. We had a 9:22 tee time, but the starter kindly let us go out early ahead of two foursomes. With no one in front of us, we completed the entire course in 3 hours. Wide open fairways. Lots of hills and valleys. The layout was a little confusing, it nothing major. Would most certainly pay here again. Thanks for a great first-time experience!
Great track.
Course in very good shape for off season. Greens rolling true. Interesting hole designs and layouts. Great value for money.
Rancho las Palmas
Rode the Blacks on all three 9's mid day in less than 5H on a GN "Hot Deal". Low 100's, sunny and fairly calm. Course very playable but they definitely need to be watering the greens more. Getting crusty.
Tees lush and well maintained for divots.
Fairways lush and nice to play from.
Rough mostly lush and thick but still good POP rough, not overly tall.
Sand traps had decent sand but were too uneven and crusty.
Greens putted medium slow speed and held irons with some run out. Firm and Summer Bermuda bumpy. West 9 had been punched with small tines.
Customer Service excellent all around. Cart staff is excellent. Well stocked pro shop. No drink cart, but there was an open snack stand at the turn. Single rider carts @ no extra charge. Carts have GPS to the F/C/B of greens. Grass range was okay with complimentary range balls. Recommended.
Nice Course
Enjoyed playing the golf course with my son and a friend!!!
