Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort - West/North

The course had a lot of water damage from the hurricane Hillary. The course was basically unplayable. We had to pick up our balls and move them out of the mud.

I enjoyed most of my round but the 5th 6th and 7th holes in the North nine were in terrible shape due to winter (?) flooding. Basically unplayable and unfair. We could have been warned about that in advance. Otherwise I’m nice condition and a fair layout.

3 or 4 holes were washed out due to flooding would have been better to play the first 9 twice

Overall the course (fairways) were in pretty good condition. (We played the North/South course.) west course is still going through reseeding and will be closed for at least another week or so I was told. The holes that cut through the wash area are slowly being brought back after the tropical storm a month ago. Most of the greens had some edge damage and hopefully they can be fixed soon for high season. I don’t feel that the prices should go up until the greens are fixed properly.

Only disappointment was that both the North & West courses were down for underseeding. Had to play the South course twice. .

I played the South course 9 holes twice while the re-seeding is going. Enjoyed the round and great value for this level of golf course. Would certainly play this again!

Rough was ridiculous, couldn't find balls in it. Greens were soaked. Waste of $49. Never again!!!!!!

This was one of the worst golf experiences I’ve ever had, not only was the grass not maintained and super ridiculously long but the gnats were out of control, plus I wasn’t aware of only

Nine holes being available and you had to play it twice to get 19 holes in until I arrived, not to mention a resident in a blue sedan that was driving by yelled “suck my dick” in the middle of me teeing off, I will never recommend this course nor go back

It appeared the tee boxes and rough not been mowed for weeks. The fairways were mowed, but mounds of cut grass lying everywhere due to length of grass. Impossible to find most balls off the fairways.

For the money,, it was ok. For a first time at the course, hole 1 was a joke. Tough to figure out where the green was. Much of the course was up and down a wash that tore up a lot of the grass. On the West course, hole 2 is a par 3 and then you weren’t sure where the next tee box was because there was no cart path to guide you. Some tee boxes had no markers and the you hit off mats at the range. Course looked unkempt and was disappointing for the area.

I enjoyed this coarse. It has 3 par 9s. I played two of them, both were fun but the holes down in the valley were not in great condition. Otherwise it was a well designed coarse with many challenging elements.
