Wildhorse Golf Club of Robson Ranch - North/South Course

Well worth the drive. Course was in great shape. I liked the layout of the course, really plays well. Greens really nice. There is some on going construction that you have to put up with, but overall it's definitely a well done golf club. Looking forward to going back.

Played my best round so I have to give thumbs up. Played with local community folks who have their own golf carts. Enjoyable 4 hours.

Overall course was in good condition. The greens however had been aerated and were soft, rough and very slow. Would like to know that ahead of time and expect a discount.

Good: conditions were good on tees, fairways, and bunkers.

Bad: no grill access because of wedding and cart girl by just once, greens were slow but consistent, 16th hole shut down for house construction. Should mention before making tee time as a courtesy.

I've played this course several times amd regularly use the driving range. Great driving range. As a whole I love the course. The grill and part of the proshop building is under construction so food is inconvenient. It's in a nice 55+ community with no kids and very well kept. The front 9(wildhorse) is better than the back 9(mustang). The back 9 seems incomplete with the home building. The front winds through the neighbourhood. Some fairways are narrow due to the homes. The course does sit on top of a hill so if its always windy. My main concern is the hours. They close at 5 so for those like me wanting to play 9 holes after work, you can't. Other than that it's a great course and well worth the play.

Course was in great shape. The sand traps were filled with real sand!! Interesting mix of holes...I like the layout. Since it was chilly when my friend and I teed off, there were not many people out yet, so we played in just under 3 1/2 hours. That was very enjoybale way to play. This course is very playable if you can keep it the out of the natural areas. We played the white tees, which at 6000 yds is perfect. Fair amount of sand around the greens. Fairly open fairways except occasional creek or bunker. Greens were true. Pin placement was brutal that day. I will return often. Becoming one of my top 5 or 6 in DFW along with Texas Star, Fossil Creek and Grapevine. We had limited interaction with staff and limited use of off course facilities so no real opinion.

NIce layout and not terribly long. Plenty of tee boxes for all players of age or handicap. It is a fair course for the beginner but has a few challenging holes for the lower handicap. Beware of the wind as the back nine can get pretty testy with a south wind. Overall a great place to play a round and grab some food and drinks after the round.

Definitely worth the money to play.

From the entrance to the property, drive through the property, entrance to the golf shop and overall look of the place...we were all impressed and surprised. It was a nice change of scenery from the typical DFW course that we generally play. Clubhouse and course still under some construction, but it still looks great and appears to be on its way to getting even better. It is heading toward a "member" type place, but most of the people we encountered were great. We definitely want to play again. Cart service was great. Several could not find driving range so signs need to be put up or the shop needs to communicate this to new players. We did not have a chance to experience 19th hole or any other facility. Enjoyed it!

The greens are larage, fast, and undulating. It is very difficult to avoid having several 3 putts.

Great Course, love it. Always nice people. Great condition always, redoing bunkers, but plays great. Fast greens.

Course was in great shape for winter. Greens were fast and smooth. Pace of play was slow, but it was a beautiful day so everyone was out playing. Will definitely return.

Course was in fantastic shape for this time of the year. There was a great attention to detail. The greens were rolling real quick.

Use of one temporary green was explained before but only real downfall.

The course was in very good condition. Play was very slow and the Marshall was MIA. When he came around he was only interested in how many more holes we were going to play since it was getting late (rude old man). Apart from him the pro shop staff was very pleasant.

It was a very nice and open golf course. Greens were very fast. Course was a little muddy for use but it had just rained. I can not wait to go back and play again.

Though we had hard rains the day before, this course is in great shape. I would recommend it highly for the good value it was, for the degree of difficulty. It was a fun outing, and the weather got a lot nicer as the day progressed.

Course was in Good shape, would have liked to play the new #9 on the Wildhorse Course. Always enjoy playing Course.

If you haven't played Robson Ranch lately you owe it to yourself to go play it.

The greens are in unbelievable shape and the tee boxes and fairways were lush.

We play courses across the DFW area and this was by far the best course conditions we have experienced in 2015!

ALthough windy on this day, the course is forgiving but challenging layout. Greens are hard and fast and in great shape. Overall course is in great shape and all employees were overly friendly and accommodating. Unfortunate that 18's lakeside green is currently under construction and shortens the hole to a par three but it looks to be opening back soon for play. That will be a nice challenging finishing hole.

My son and I played this course for the first time this weekend, and I wish I had found it sooner because it's one of the better we've played around the metroplex. It's an easy 30 minute drive up I-35 to Argyle from anyone near DFW or north Fort Worth. Played Saturday and only got in 12 holes due to rain, so we went back Sunday because we enjoyed it so much. Wildhorse is in FANTASTIC condition with beautifully manicured greens that roll fast and true, and very well-maintained bunkers. The few trees on this course are immature and rarely come into play, but there's plenty of water hazards to keep the course challenging. We played the blue tees which have several very long holes making the total yardage 6409. Holes 2 and 12 are both long par 5's which require a solid drive to clear the water hazards and not reachable in 2 for most golfers. We completed our Sunday round in just over 3 hours and never saw anyone on the course after we played through a group on #5! What more could you ask for?
