Wildhorse Golf Club of Robson Ranch - North/South Course

Good golf course.
Course has received multiple inches of rain in the past week and fairways were wet but playable.
The greens were PERFECT!! Smooth with good pace.

Wildhorse has always been an excellent course ... just a little too rich for my blood. But with a 48% off golfnow.com coupon (we played for $19+) it was one of the best bargains in the Metroplex. Course is in as good shape as it's ever been (and I've lived at Robson Ranch since it opened -- so I can say that with cvonfidence)! It was cart-path only Thursday (and had to be -- another steady rain the day before) but certainly not too wet to play. Played in just over 3 hours, had my best round here in more than a year and didn't lose a bal (now that's rare for me here).
Watch for the late-morning or early-afternoon specials on golfnow.com (in the Fort Worth-North grouping) and give it a try (or make a return appearance if you've played it before). The better you are, the farther back you can move on the tee boxes and the farther back you go the more you take trouble out of play! I missed a handful of short putts, but not because of the greens. They're also in their best shape in a long time!!

Fairways are wide. Good conditions and pace of play was good. Greens are large and roll true. I'll play it again!

Awesome course, challenging par 3's and a fair test of golf. Excellent greens.

The course is in great condition - the staff is friendly. good spacing on groups. Fairways have good grass better than many of the courses in DFW. The greens and pin placements are challenging which makes them a lot of fun.

This is a must course to play. In great shape. The variety of shots you will have are many. Not extremely difficult but challenging nonetheless.

Beautiful day, good friends, and good golf. Greens are in excellent shape, fairways in good shape. Cart Path Only added about 30 minutes to the round, which is understandable. Course is relatively open and easy to pick your targets. Homes encroach on a few holes, but generally are out of play. Big hitters have choices on several holes. Overall, a real bargain for the $$ we paid.

The golf course will challenge your skills but is very fair . Generous fairways with large well manicured greens. Absolute gem of a North Texas golf course. Fun test regardless your age or skill level.

Try it. You will like it. In a gated community with great clubhouse, 19 hole.

We really enjoyed the course, we quit after 12 holes because it was so cold, but for February the course was in great shape, and will definitely play the course again....

Great course. Love the layout and the greens were awesome.

It was my first time to play this course. I have wanted to for a while, because I live close by. The food was great, but not convenient, you have to go into the restaurant and order it, so if you are running behind you are out of luck. The food was great however. I enjoyed the course and will play here again, and leave enough time to eat at the restaurant.

Sunday afternoon round, Played at a very fast pace. Course was in great condition, very impressed with the greens. Only issue was the driving range not attended to and the ball dispenser was out of order. Could not find anyone near to work the issue.

I've played this course several times in the past, and the course is still in excellent condition!! Greens are great, fairways great, bunkers great, the whole course is excellent! !

The starter needs to learn to communicate. Felt like we were treated different since we didn't live in that community. Other staff members were very friendly and helpful.

Worth playing and very forgiving. Bunker sand heavy and too resistant. Fairways a bit flat and not challenging enough. Placement of water is the primary challenge to the golfer.

I purchased a tee time for Wildhorse @ Robson Ranch 45 minutes prior to the tee time. We arrived to check in and were told that the confirmation didnt matter and that they had booked a foursome of locals over our tee time. They said my only recourse was to take it up with GolfNow. I will not be going back to Robson Ranch. The clubhouse person was very snotty and rude to me and my 10 yr old daughter.

If your schedule is flexible, you can usually find a very affordable rate to play here. Pace of play after 10 am is excellent...as I am usually able to finish 18 holes in less than 4 hours. While the course may not be as scenic as some would prefer, it's always in great shape and enjoyable to play.
