Good Bang For The Buck!
Nice place to play, every time out has been enjoyable! Nice, friendly people! Staff are great! Challenging par 62! every hole gives a different look & challenge!
Amazing course- Friendly staff!
Jack Tone Golf Course is one of the best courses in Ripon and Modesto I have ever been too! My wife and I came in and was greeted by such lovely staff! Austin was one of the employees who was working and was such a blessing to me and my wife! We were very excited and had a great day at JTG! The conditions were wonderful and was not very busy. They did not make us wait for a cart and was very fast. Thank you for such a great course! -Christian Carlos.
Good Deal & Track!
Even after all the rain, course was in pretty good condition! Greens were just a bit slower, but still ran smooth & true! Fairways were soggy & mushy in places, but overall good!
They are doing a lot of improvements too! Landscaping & irrigation improvements! Ever improving the course & atmosphere! Highly recommend playing!
Played in the rain/bomb cyclone
Course was rained on for the whole week and was still very playable.
Too many Par 3's
Course was absolutely packed as there were too many golfers on such a small course. Also too many Par 3's..I believe that I spent more time waiting than golfing. Staff was very friendly but did not make up for the overall experience.
Good Bang For The Buck!
Have played & absolutely recommend the facilities! Staff are great & courteous!
Nice putting greens to practice the short game, adequate driving range to work on your drives, & warm up before play!
Great place to get in a quick round! Will test your short game & putting skills as well! Not a cookie-cutter track!
Good Deal & Track!
Had such a good time, friendly staff, nice lit'l track! Not boring at all! Greens were on fast side, No flat greens, great lit'l breaks! Must pay attention at all times!!! Fairways are good! The 1 bunker I was in, was very fair, nice sand, Not Hardpan, or just tilled dirt, actual sand! Plan to play again very soon!
Horrific pace of play
4 groups backed up on every hole, just left because I was already going to be teeing off well past our tee time, and pace of play was nonexistent

i love this course as it is a great course to hone skills for the beginner. pace of play is somewhat slow but all in all a fun course for a great price.
Nice Local Course, Easily Walkable
Jack Tone is our go-to course when we don't want to drive far and the weather is good enough to walk (push carts). Mostly short par 3's with a few longer 4's and 5's sprinkled in. Nice practice greens and short game practice area.
Con is that it is often crowded, with many holes backed up.
However, bring your patience, and it will make for an enjoyable day!
Fun coarse
No water hazard, less bunkers the only challenging conditions are windy and small green.
