For an 18 hole course was just OK. No amenities to speak of
The course was OK with fairways in need of help and the rough...for get about it! The rough was either very tall unkept grass or heavy weeds. And beyond the weeds was very hard dirt and bunkers were hard packed dirt that you would barely leave foots prints if you walked in them. Only saving grace was the greens were in good shape. If you get there early, they won't let you check in or get a cart until 15 min before your time...even if no one is waiting to play. First time I have had to leave an ID with my complete contact info to get a cart (like I really wanted to steal one of their new carts...LOL!). We found the staff at check in a little on the rude side. And, there are no amenities to speak of, no restaurant or snack bar only light snacks you can buy from the starter. My advise if you have to play here...sneak in your lunch from the Subway or McDonalds up the street!
Great layout-fairways are poor; sand traps not maintained.
Best golf for the money around. Price specials are common,; usually pay between $12. and $30. max for a nice regulation course; The course is fair, with good opportunity for scoring, but is probably rated a little easier than it plays. The 432 yard par 4 3rd hole is a great example (white tees) -bogey is a good score due to its length. The 195 yard par 3 12th is also a challenge . Par 5's are not long but certainly play longer than their published yardage. The par-5 2nd, 8th and 11th holes require well-placed tee shots and the landing area for second shots is narrow on the 2nd and 11th holes. The sand has become hard in green-side bunkers and needs attention. The greens are generally very good. Fairways are poor and likely the reason for lower than average green fees. Overall it is a great course for the money-just don't expect PGA West.
Needs lots of work. Use because close to home.
Course in poor condition. Fairways thin, lots of weeds in the fringe areas and on the fairways, greens need work.
Needs new manager
I have played this course many times over the years and it is getting worse every year. They raise the price but, don't take care of the grounds. Grass over grown, fairways are fair, but if you miss the fairway by three feet your ball is lost.
Like the layout, has some interesting holes.
The course is fun to play, but needs attention. Both the fairways and the greens need a lot of TLC. If you take the game too seriously don't play here, but if you play just because you enjoy playing and like to get out and have some fun you should try this course at least once.
Bargain Golf
I've played this course for the last 15 years and it has never been in this poor of condition. I only go there because there's never a wait, it's cheap and it gets me out of the house. The fairways look like they haven't been watered since the last rain. They are clumpy and dry... almost impossible to hit off of and don't dry to take a divot... you might break a club or wrist. They just don't get it... in order to make money and get more bookings, they have to spend money and give people a reason to want to play there. It will never be busy if they don't put some money an care into it.
Poor course not worth golfing at.
bad greens, bad fairways, had to wait for a cart. Very poor conditions this course needs major work.
has long par 3's makes you think
nice course, you have to think some of your shots.has some challanging holes and some easy holes nice mix.
Course fairways are a mess and checkin ridiculous
Fairways have little grass, rough is untended and in bad shape.
Greens good.
Checkin limited to 15 min before tee off even if no one else is on the course. Can;t even get a cart and get ready.
People living along the course said there was a $150 fine if you went on to their property but the property lines aren't marked!!!
Told some others not to so but they did anyway and were they sorry.
For the price you cannot beat this course!
Fairways are not in the greatest shape, but playable. The greens used to be horrible, but they are really turning them around and they are starting to look great. My only issue with this course is they could find a better way to manage the rough. It is either hard pan dirt or overgrown weeds. All things considered, it is well worth the price, just stay out of the rough.
value
Greens are always good. Fairways are rough from frost. Off the fairways here is never good. No landscaping except weeds and hardpan. Pace was slow on 1/9 w back-to-back fivesomes which played without any urgency whatsoever. Cart died on the 9th hole but attendant arrived in minutes w a replacement. Regular green fee of $26 overpriced but GolfNow.com rate is reasonable.
Long wide par 4s
Good place to get swings on for low dough but rough gets nasty.the further from the fairway the worse it gets. I guess it's ok . Keep it down the middl right?
You get what you pay for
Very inexpensive, but the conditions of the course show why! Fairways are about 75% brown (at least it's grass, right?) and the rough is about 90% dirt/stones/weeds. The greens were fine (I've seen much, much worse) but extremely slow. The tee boxes were fine too, but I'd prefer a lower cut grass on the tees. The course itself is pretty easy and straightforward. Actually pretty fun and a good chance to go low if you keep it in the [brown] grass. It's also really empty, which means I played by myself in less than 3 hours! I wouldn't pay more than $25 for a round here but if the price is right, go for it.
Go to the putting green-forget the course!
Fairways-not really & greens are in poor condition. Putting green the best thing about this course.
Fees are low because the course needs major attention. Most carts were not operating and tee times were delayed.
This is a good practice course, but the poor conditions can also interfere with your play and can damage your clubs.
Lengthy course
Great for practice rounds, accuracy is a must on most holes. The rough has a combination of crabgrass and weeds all over the course.
Great value for this course
Course has a lot of potential, but needs to improve its condition, inconsistant cutting of fairways, rough is horrible with large weed patches & hard on equipment with rocks & stones.
This course has a lot of potential.
OK
Poor conditioned course. Nice layout and friendly staff. If price is low then give it a try
