Great course to work on your game
Fairways and greens in great conditions. Course makes you pay if you don't stay in fairways which makes a great challenge. Staff is great. Love the changes in elevation. Overall a nice course
Greens and fairways are looking better than normal
If you get off the fairway you better hold onto your beer because your in for a bumpy ride
BV
Course was in good condition especially for the hot summer.
Slow pace
Speaking for a large group of frequent players of local courses we really wish they would stop setting teetimes every eight minutes apart, especially on this course with the uphill par four followed by a part three it seems like it is always running 35 minutes to an hour behind pace of play right off the get-go. Besides that good course conditions and overall good value for your money no amazing thrills just local course that’s hanging on.
This coarse is okay. The golf carts aren’t for big guys for sure.
Bad payment details
I used the Tee Off/ Golf now app to pay for my round only to find it didn't actually pay for the green fees. Golf Now charged $9.50 a golfer just to make the reservation and I still had to pay the remainder at the course. I have used this app many times and have always paid for the entire round through the app but with this transaction I apparently only paid for the convenience of making an online reservation. I don't know if this was a Golf Now problem or the golf course but the actual rate at the course was cheaper than what I paid....seems like a SCAM!
Best!!!
Love the golf course one of the best
Only If There Isn’t Something Better
Slow play. More like a pasture than a fairway. Greens are slow but pretty well maintained. Golf carts worked well. No marshals to monitor pace of play or number of players. We played behind a FIVESOME. It was agonizingly slow. No courses I regularly play allow that.
Fun Day Trip
I honestly wasn't expecting what I got - and that's OK! We drove 135 miles to get out of the coastal drizzle and see the sun. You have to WANT to play here -- because there's nothing but oil fields and agriculture for miles. Having said that, people DO come here -- and from I heard, really like the course! The place was "busy" - and I mean that as compliment, not as a complaint!
Conditions were sunny and 84 degrees with a constant 20+ knot wind. I found out from others that wind is the norm here, and the day we played was considered "cool".
The staff were REALLY welcoming and friendly! They were out of golf carts when we arrived, so our tee time was delayed, but not long. We grabbed a sandwich from the grill, and we were off. (The grill was very reasonable by the way)
The course was in pretty good conditions for this time of year! I was surprised by how green the fairways were, as well as how well the greens played - especially in the early afternoon on a busy day.
The "signature first hole" was an interesting climb, and the rest of the course was enjoyable. There were some nice views of the surrounding area from several of the tee boxes.
Overall, a "good time was had by all". I drove a couple of hours just to see the sun, and play a round golf -- at a course I knew nothing about. I feel I got my moneys worth and some change back!
