Ivey Ranch Country Club

This is a 9 hole course but they advertise 9 and 18 hole rates. With Golfnow I was unaware that you can only buy the 9 hole rate and must pay the full regular 9 hole rate again if you want to play 18. Pretty tacky attitude by the Golf Pro/Pro Shop Manager too. The course was empty but he still came running out of the clubhouse to tell us we had only paid for 9 and had to stop. Even considering we had lunch in the grill before we teed off. But it's no big deal because we will never go back there again anyhow. The rate after you pay full boat for the addition 9 is ridiculous and not even close to competitive here in the desert this time of the year.

Check-in was great. We were early and the starter let us out early. Caught up to the groups in front of us and waited on a couple of holes but overall a good course that challenged the different levels in our group. We will play it again.

Great Staff! Restaurant was closed. Conditions were just fine, greens were good. Very fun 9 hole course.

Have played this course the past 2 years and always a good round and good food and beverages.

Staff are excellent and appreciative of business. There does need to be some control of those who play 18 as group behind us showed upon our 3rd hole and said that they should be playing in front of us???

My Canadian friend and I enjoyed this course for several reasons. The cost compared to the course was splendid! The pace of play was most acceptable and the condition was favourable. There is a great variety of holes and even though a couple of fairways are somewhat tight, the overall space is satisfactory. The friendliness of the staff is 5 star and the location in the valley is ideal. I would put this course on my schedule of appealing 9 holders for sure.

Fun to play and in good shape except for a couple of greens that were a bit rough.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Called to let us know about the frost delay the night before. Course is in good condition. Greens are fast and a few are tricky the day we played. Great golf for the price we paid.

A nice little 9 hole course. Friendly in clubhouse will play again

This was a great course for warming up your golf game, great people at the desk who encouraged us on even the two beginner young boys and made this a fun experience for all. Local players gave us lots of space and played through with a smile!

What a find! Greens in near perfect condition and fast. Fairways quite good. Carts run perfectly. Layout is quite challenging and although it is a 9 hole course, one can play it twice for a pleasant 18 hole round. I would recommend it to friends and I will return.

Virtually impossible to locate the clubhouse after entering the complex. Took us 20 minutes to wind around the maze of streets. It should have taken 3 minutes. Guard at the guard gate threw a map at me as I entered which was impossible to follow. He should have told us to follow a "orange line" which was not orange. It was worn to point that it could not be seen on the street. Then the manager/outside services man showed up and did not offer to either to give us a ride or help us into a cart. He was equally unfriendly in the pro shop. Golf carts were filthy, probably cleaned a few weeks or months ago. And there was much much more. I would recommend that anyone planning to play there be prepared for the most unfriendly staff that I have witnessed in 63 years of playing golf.

We were pleasantly surprised with this golf course which we had seen on golf now but never considered playing. We only had time for nine holes and this course provided everything we wanted. It's not very long but makes up with the challenge of narrow fairways, severe doglegs and need for accuracy. The greens were fast when we played. We will most certainly play here again and again. BTW the previous advice to beware of water on number nine is misleading. The water which cannot be seen until you get up to the green is ON NUMBER EIGHT! I know because my partner was in it!

The course is short and 9 holes. Each hole has its own challenges however. There is water on a couple of holes, out of bounds on others and the sand is strategically placed. Only handicappers 8 and down, will find it extremely easy. The rest of us find enough challenges. Greens are thin but they do roll true. A nice warmup round without pretention.

It is a great 9. The only thing I didnt like is the management. Some friends and I played 9 at 7 am and was done before 9 am. We wanted to play 9 more but they wanted double the cost for the secound 9. They said all the money goes to golf now and they can honor the deal I had at earlier.....so we did not play. It was slow I would think some money is better then none .......a lot of places will work with you .......This one will not. Probably wont play here again because nine holes is rarely enough.
