On the Classic Club's scenic landscape, golfers will find a wide variety of trees including olive trees, towering pines, and California pepper, but unlike the many other golf courses in Palm Springs, there isn't a single palm tree. The Classic Club opened in 2006 to much acclaim and has since garnered a following amongst locals and visitors. Formerly a host site for the Bob Hope Classic, the challenging layout has an interesting mix of tour-worthy holes including intimidating par 3s balanced by reachable par-5s and short par-4s. Water hazards come into play on 13 holes. The back nine begins with a memorable stretch of holes. The par-4 10th is a tight driving hole with an elevated green and the 11th hole requires a shot over water. The stretch ends with the par-3 12th, which also plays over water to a well protected green.

Expected more for the $

Course wa not cut bunkers were not throughly groomed. Greens had lots a ball marks. I expect more f oh r the hefty fee.

Water, water, water

Back nine has lots of water which comes into play. Front nine has some water too. Greens were excellent and quick, and the overall course condition was very good. Was my first time getting back into golf in years... and the course layout looked great (better than my golf) which added to the funfactor.

Love the course, however, day before overseeing.

I've played this course many times. It's one of my favorites in the valley. The only negative thing I could say, is the course was closing for overseeding the next day and the fairways and greens were pretty thin. The price however was the standard rate for this time of year and given the conditions should have been lowered.

Beautiful course and exceptional value

This is very beautiful course and a terrific value. You get a $25 food and Bev voucher and golf towel with your tee time. The carts are comfortable and all the staff are warm and welcoming. The golf course is fun and interesting to play.
