Still nice to play
I was worried about playing here during Covid because they have a disclaimer that basically says they may run out of carts. I’m happy to say there was no real problem, I got a cart before TeeOff and tee’d off on time. Greens were good, as always but the fairways could use some extra love. Overall a great experience and I won’t hesitate to come back again.
x-Country Club is in trouble.
I would venture a guess that 30 years ago this course was very nice. The actual layout is nothing to write home about, but it would have been interesting if not for the lack of grass, instead of weeds in most of the fairways. Its just plain worn down, I expect that within a year it will be maintained properly or its going to be a page out of golf History. The greens are OK, but slow, but everything else is an issue making it difficult to play.
Best best greens
This is the best course in Tracy. The fairways and greens are taken care of very very well. I really enjoy playing this course. Very relaxed course. Not all strict and annoying about everything. It's a nice scenic course too I think.
The club house is out dated and looks very old. They offer some food and alcohol beverages. I still enjoy coming here as a non member.
A Hot One
Literally a hot one as it was mid 90’s! But the course was in great shape and it was fun time. Staff was great too. Would go again especially with the Golfnow savings
2nd Time. Will Keep Coming Back
My second time playing was very enjoyable as I had a better understanding of the course layout. The course has a lot of character. Up hills, down hills, dog leg left and right, short long, you name it. Greens are in great condition. There is a lot of hard pan, but it's rare you will ever hit your ball in it unless you seriously mess up, as they are lining the borders of oob or 50 yards in front of the tee box. Par 5's and Par 4's are fair, the par 3's are a bit long and harder to beat. Had a great time!
Excellent greens
The course was fairly good with a little difficulty. The greens were in excellent condition, fast and challenging. I noticed there was no water jugs and ball cleaners. Which I understood was for our safety due to COVID-19.
Played slowed down drastically in the back nine. It took us 3 1/2 hours to complete our round. Suggest better time management. Other than that I really enjoyed the course and will consider playing more often.
Super Open
Fun course. Played in 95 degree heat but was fast paced.
Fun!!
We had fun besides the fact that the group right behind us took one of our balls and when we asked them if they had seen our ball, they started getting loud and cursing. We were shocked on the behavior. We walked away, but people should take it easy. It’s golf and we are suppose to be enjoying the game, not fighting.
This Course is fun for all skill levels.
Course is in great condition. Reasonably priced and lots of fun.
Country Club... fooled me
It’s laughable that this is considered a country club. Looks like they are well on their way to a municipal course. The fairways are okay... you must hit them every hole unless you like hitting out of dirt or burnt patches of grass. I’m not sure how the course even became this bad. Looks like everything is still stuck in the 80’s. They have wasted all of their money on small water ponds that hardly ever come into play. Maybe two or three difficult water front greens. Most greens are small and very fast. I did feel like some greens altered speed. Maybe just me though. With the greens being that fast, and small, it’s almost impossible to hit a great shot. Almost like playing on marble.
For reference, my handicap is around 10 and have played the game for 11 years now. I’d recommend another course. It is cheap and a good course for beginners though some holes are long if you don’t have a good tee shot.
