Tough shape all around.
Fairways and tee boxes in tough shape. Greens were nice but very slow….8 on the stimp…LOL.
Snack shack after hole number 10 does not accept credit cards, nor has the ability to give you a receipt.
Turf issues
The fairways definitely need work , many bare spots on the fairways. The greens are nice.
Terrific Greens and Improved Conditions
I have played Tracy G&CC many times and this was by far the best that the course has played. The fairways were good, the bunkers were tilled and raked, and the greens were outstanding. This was also one of those days where the wind in Tracy wasn't blowing. THis made the day spectacular. The only complaint, and the only reason I didn't give the review 5 stars, was that we followed a SIXSOME and that slowed us down. I don't believe in six players to a group, and this just helped to enhance my dislike of the idea. There were also a pair of lovely ladies who were extremely slow, and were seemingly unaware that we would like to play through. They seemed shocked when we asked them. When we eventually played through these two groups, the rest of the round played smoothly and quickly. I believe that both of these problems could be resolved with the use of a marshal on the course. I really enjoy Tracy G&CC, and with it's improved conditions, I highly recommend it.
Fun course
Course is in great condition. Fun to play.Greens,traps, and fairways are in great condition.
Great greens
There was a high school girls match in front of us. 4 groups of them. And they were SLOW. We ended up skipping the 7th and 8th to get in front of them. When we got to the back nine there was NOBODY there. After that we had a great experience. Greens are amazing. Course is well designed with some fun holes. Don’t like the large patches of hard dirt between holes and the bunkers are firm dirt not sand. Overall solid place to play.
Much Improved
Usually I shun away from Tracy GCC because of the windy conditions. With the wind, also comes playing conditions that are usually dry and sparse. This time it was not the case. The course conditions were good and the greens were excellent. Traps were maintained and played well. Yes, the wind came up in the afternoon, and it was at least a two-club wind, but it just added to the challenge of the course. The pace of play was a little slow, but that was because of a fivesome in front of us. Overall, it was a great day of golf and was enjoyed by everyone. We will definitely return. Congrats on the course conditions!
Hot weather Tracy and fun to play
Hot weather there is not many people to play and we have good time but green is little slow need to be shaped green.
Greens are perfect
Pace of play is always fairly quick. Fairways need some love in some areas but greens were perfect. make sure you try Speer’s BBQ
Great course
The pace was good during our round. Fairways and greens are in okay condition, except their bunkers. But overall, I would recommend this course and sure will play here again.
