Pine Creek Golf Club
About
Pine Creek Golf Course is part of the La Plata Communities in Colorado Springs. The course winds through the Pine Creek Valley, providing a lush and varied landscape. The course sprawls across high plains grasslands with abundant trees and lakes coming into play throughout. The seemingly gentle terrain has tricky undulations that total over 375 feet of elevation changes. The front is a canyon-style nine while the back is more of an American links design. There are creek beds coming into play on nearly every hole as well as strategically placed bunkers. In addition to the challenging round, the golf course offers stunning views of Pikes Peak, the Front Range, and the entire Colorado Springs skyline. At Pine Creek there is also a unique elevated, target-oriented grass driving range, a practice green, and a short game area.

Good Course
Course was in good shape for early season golf. Great design. Makes you play every club in your bag!
Beautiful but just too tough.
It's been a few years since I've played Pine Creek and it's going to be a few more before I play it again. It's in great shape save a few bunkers that need some attention, and is quite beautiful but it's just too punitive for any but really low handicappers. On several holes, a missed fairway is a lost ball or at best a stroke just to get it back in play. And in some cases, same for a missed green - like #12. About 10 feet separate green and very dense rough on the right. With enough course knowledge, much of the trouble can be avoided but any mistakes and mishits can extract severe penalties. And even some safe lines can land you in trouble with even a slight miss. Its toughness can be appealing to the single digit guys but if you're a high teens player it can be a frustrating time.
Stunning views and excellent course
Pine Creek is the perfect course for the intermediate to advanced golfer seeking incredible mountain views, elevated tee boxes and challenging shots. Every hole is unique and you will use every club in the bag. The groundskeeping crew has done a remarkable job making the conditions the best they can be in the unpredictable Colorado weather. Highly recommended for tourists and out of town friends and family. They will remember this course!
Very Good Golf Experience
Course was in excellent shape. Fairways and greens were well maintained and freshly mowed and manicured. Pace of play was poor due to two foursomes that took forever looking for lost balls, causing some players to skip some holes. Except for the pace of play, the golf experience was very nice.
Great Day at Nice Course
Course is in great shape for May in Colorado Springs. The greens are almost summer ready, they putted nice for being punched not too long ago. The 19th hole did not have food available, nice area and they said it will be fully manned soon. Overall, great golf, fun holes and a good time.
Had a great time even with the wind. Course is in good condition.
Lots of Fun Golf Holes
A well designed golf course is one that makes you question your club selection often and gives you fun, interesting shots throughout the round. This course has a lot of fun holes, that will reward you for playing smart.
I might be slightly biased to this course because I had one of my personal best rounds here recently, but I usually play better golf when the tee boxes are flat and the grass is well maintained. Lots of respect for the maintenance team for everything they do.
The course was great, It was very windy and the greens were sanded....enjoyed the round though
Pine Creek Review
This course is poorly managed relative to allocating traffic and providing assertive pace of play. As a consequence, it will often cluster foursomes and have multi-hole gaps in between. They need to put more thought and effort into managing the traffic to assure an acceptable pace of play.
Great staff, for coming out off winter the greens were good, fairways nice. Challenging course. Will play this course again.
March 17th in Colorado Springs?
Great round a of golf. It is unbelievable that the course is in this condition so early. The warmest March on record (easily predicting this midway through the month).. Perfect greens and great running carts. The clubhouse bar and restaurant is an absolute embarrassment. i would personally like to offer my services to this course to run the bar and restaurant. I would make this place the happening place on this side of town. Guaranteed!
Good winter conditions
Even though it's mid March the course was in pretty good shape. There was one fairway that was a little swampy and the greens still had a little sand on them, but I'm not complaining for this time of year. My only complaint is the pin placement is constantly being changed by the group in front of us cause the course leaves 3 holes open on each green. So you really can't be sure of pin placement until you are on top of the green.
Challenging course with a few narrow fairways, but my group had a great time. It's still early in the season so when the weather warms the greens will improve for better reads. Overall a very likable golf course.
Cart path only!
Pros: This is one of my favorite courses to play in Colorado Springs. Amazing views and challenging course. Tight fairways
Cons: Cart path only in the winter. Pace of play can be a little slow when you don't expect it too be.
Tee Times
My only problem with Pine Creek is the price. It's the most expensive public course in Colorado Springs. So I really like it when Pine Creek uses the internet to advertise discounted tee times.
However, and this has happened twice, when we book the tee-time online using the discount rate the pro shop at the course does not have the same tee-time in their records! You could imagine how this creates a massive problem when you think you're teeing off at a certain time, but in actuality it's a completely different time.
Hot deal- third class treatment
Showed up at the course 45 min before tee time, course was really empty. thought great get off a few minutes early. well even with almost no one on the course, told me no way. you got a golf now hot deal so we don't get any money for that. So you need to wait to play a empty course, if you wanted to play earlier you should have paid full price. Well told them they would sure get a lousy revue from me, if thats how they treated hot deal players. Thanks Kazar in the pro shop. Will not return.
I have had similar treatment at a couple of different golf courses based upon booking the tee time through Golf Now. One high end course in Palm Springs, another in AZ. Same statement about the course not getting paid. Seems to me that if a golf course is unhappy with a 3rd party partner, they should remove themselves from the offers.
Hi "zalnis" we are sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with one of the members in our pro shop. However, if you wanted to play at an earlier time you should of booked an earlier tee time. The Hot Deals are special tee times that are offered at a specific time for a very dicounted rate. We still hope that you enjoyed your time out on the course!
