Pine Creek Golf Club

Great opener on cross country trip with my brother. While researching area courses, all indications suggested Pine Creek to be a jewel, but you just never know until you get there. This was definitely the correct choice. Despite the course being a bit wet in some spots due to a recent storm that rolled through, most of the trouble is of one's own making. However, the back nine appears to take the lion's share of the drainage, and seemed to play slightly different than the front with more water, marshes, and obstructed views. Since we were at elevation, the ball was definitely flying farther than usual. Be cognizant of that because due to the numerous doglegs on the course, a seemingly great drive will carry or roll through the fairway. Trust me, you do not want to hit out of the rough, especially early in the morning. This is most certainly a course where some local knowledge helps, but for tourists such as myself, simplicity is the smart approach. Greed is very bad. Accuracy is one of the words that came up quite a bit while researching this course, and that is very applicable, especially on the back nine. Do the math, and drop it near the barber pole because there is unseen trouble in many locations. With very few exceptions, the greens tilt to the front. They hold approaches well, but are quite fast. Downhill putts can easily get away from you if you are not careful. So, choose your irons well because with the elevation, your normal club selection may put you at the back of the green, which will be a problem. All in all, this is a top-notch track that is very fair. It is also in a great location near I-25 and the Air Force Academy. One disappointment was that due to the wildfires in the western U.S., our view of Pikes Peak was not as spectacular as it may have been on a clear day. Still, an excellent course, and very much worth the price.

Nice course good holes. Need to improve quality of bunkers. I will likely play it again.

Yesterday was on of the hottest days of the year and the beverage cart was not around. And all of the water stations were empty. It was 3 hrs to play nine holes and when we called the pro shop they simply said sorry. They did not offer to have any body bring water out to the stations or send a martial out to pick up the pace of play. I live on the course and I am truly embarrassed of this is how they treat all of the golfers that play here.

Course was in decent condition. Poor customer service. Food and bev closed @ 3pm. Pro shop clerk/pro wasn't able to assist with any purchase needs...so decided not to buy.

Need Marshals out on the course, because 6 hour-long rounds iare not fun. Waited on every hole after the first one.

This was a fun course. I am a novice golfer so I found it challenging.

Bring your "A" game if you want to score on this course. Good shots are rewarded while the bad shots get you in a whole lot of trouble. This is a thinking mans course. The course was in great shape except the bunkers, then again the bunkers are hazards to be avoided.

We paid for 18 on a Thursday and took afternoon tee time. I took almost 2 1/2 hours to play 9 so we quit after nine holes. Some one came to get pace to speed up and it actually got slower.

Very tough course if you're game is off. Requires accuracy off the tee. The rough is thick making it difficult to find your ball if you happen to end up in it. I was paired with two guys that were playing the blues so I did as well. Wish I would have played the combo tees or the white tees as the round would have been more enjoyable for my game. Shot the highest score in 20 years on this golf course. The course was in excellent shape with greens rolling true.

The course is in great shape. We were surprised how well it played for a public course. The holes are challenging. The views of Pikes Peak are awesome.

Played Pine Creek yesterday, weather was perfect. Course was as good a shape as I've seen it, you've got to play here it's worth the trip.

This course was very nice. Conditions were good to very good. Greens rolled true and well maintained. Fariways in good condition. Driving accuracy a must. Played from the blue tees. Played the course in 4 hours and 5 minutes. Pace of play was great. Played at our own pace. No hold ups in front or behind. Amenities were very good and staff very helpful.

Played pine creek for under $30 off golf now. Get ready to have some fun and use every club in your bag. Greens are in great shape and roll true. Hit it straight off the tees and you will be fine. Stay away from the rough though very penalizing. I am from Texas and realized the altitude addd distance to every shot, took two holes to adjust. Overall very nice course with friendly staff. Had an excellent Bloody Mary!

With the Golf Now discount this was a great value for my foursome. The Pros Shop staff was very friendly. We had a little trouble figuring out where to start. The last time I played there the 1st tee is now the 10th and there was no stater to explain the switch so we tried to start on the wrong tee. Some of the sand traps were very hard and a few had standing water. Otherwise the course was in very good condition and we had a great time!!

This was the first time I played this course (white tees), but it was an excellent experience. It was a challenging course that is not for the beginner player; this is not a particularly long course but requires accuracy and strategic, controlled shots. Fariways are narrow and four par 4s required laying up for the average distance tee shot; the greens are small and require accuracy.. I will play this course again in the future; you will not be disappointed if you play this course.

Have played this course multiple times. Always plays narrow and tight. Greens in good shape but the bunkers barley have enough sand and lots of standing water due to the rains, could uses rebuild of all bunkers with better drainage. Not a bombers course, keep it down the middle.

thoroughly enjoyable 2 rounds of golf at Pine Creek. Very courteous, friendly, and helpful staff. Pace of play was somewhat slow on Sunday afternoon, but the views and comradarie more than make up for the slow play. overall - top notch experience. we thoroughly enjoyed getting the opportunity of playing with 2 Pine Creek HS students

This is a challenging course that is in great condition. Accurate driving is imperative. You need to keep your ball out of the rough because it is deep & thick so you will not be able to get your normal distance. The greens are firm and medium speed but are pretty quick going downhill. The staff are helpful & friendly. I recommend this course to all especially if you can get a discounted rate.

The course was very well maintained. The staff was very friendly and the food was pretty good. I personally had a bad day, but I still enjoyed myself.
