Pine Creek Golf Club

I had a great day driving the ball and hit a lot of fairways. Unfortunately this was not the case for the 3 guys I was paired up with. High handicappers should really leave their driver in the bag on most of the course so as not to slow down play looking for balls that are close to impossible to locate in the native grasses that line every hole. Fairways and greens were in nice shape. Greens were running fast and held approach shots well. Bunkers need some work. Mostly hardpan.

Good value for the money.

Pine Creek is a challenging course and is in great shape. The GolfNow price is an unbeatable value.

This is a great course! Great condition other then the 10th hole got a portion of the hole fairway taken away by the rain!! Kudos to the maintenance crew for getting a temporary fix to the issue. Staff is always virtuous, and the views are amazing! I will continue to golf here as often as possible! Thanks!

Some narrow fairways and cut-in rough that surprises on certain lines, plus lots of low ravines, sloughs, and native rough can challenge the average golfer. But views are a delight, and the course has enough short par 4s to keep you in the game. Greens were in very good condition, quick, and fair but challenging.

Lots of course erosion due to heavy rains. Most greens in good condition. No starter and limited marshaling effects course pace of play!

I play this course often and love the layout, but had the worst Father's Day experience in recent memory this year. Took my son out with me and tee times were delayed 30 minutes, with the from nine taking literally 3 hours. That is not an exaggeration. It was the worst pace of play I've ever experienced, and couldn't have been more disappointed. Didnt even get to finish my round.

Overall: Great Course, well designed and tended.

The key with this course is the wind. The front nine is at a higher elevation and is very exposed to the wind. That said, the layout is a little more forgiving, even on windy days. The back nine much lower and appears to be a bit more protected, but the layout is so tight at times, that anything more than a 10 MPH wind can reek havoc, especially holes a strong West/SouthWest wind, since holes 6 through 13 are narrow and play directly into that wind.

I play this course almost monthly throughout the year and always enjoy it. Greens are true and quick. The rough is much heavier that you get with many courses in the Springs. Think lush grass, that even though trimmed, will make you feel like you are playing an overwatered course back East.

There are a lot of lateral hazards, yards, trees, bunkers, etc. to challenge just about every shot, from tee to green. A few sloping fairways, blind shots, and false fronts makes it nice to play with someone who can point out the potential hazards.

Even though it technically possible to reach most of the Par 5s in two, narrow fairways off a drive, or well guarded greens usually end up rewarding the prudent play.

Greens were in great shape and this is a very good deal via Golfnow!

The best greens I've putted on this year. Love the layout. Course was in great shape. Its the prototypical target golf course. On the downside the range balls were in the worst condition I have ever seen in my life.

We had our tee time that we got through Golf Now. From about the 4th hole on, we were pushed by a marshal which didn't make sense until we finished 17th hole and had a 4 some on the tee box for a shotgun tournament. We went off in front of them but the experience made the whole round feel like we weren't being allowed to play our game.

A second thought also was we were a threesome and they put a guy with us that smoked the whole round. Might be worth checking if people are smokers or none smokers before pairing them up. Wasn't his fault but it also made this round suck.

Great course. Absolutely gorgeous. Staff was awesome and friendly. Pace was slow due to do a golf tourney ending a bit late. But otherwise excellent.

The layout of this track is a fair challenge. The only times I hit good shots but wasn't rewarded were times that have been fixed after playing once (going through the fairway on a few tee shots, laid up too far on a hole and things like that.) I'm from the north east--this course would easily coast $75 on a morning weekend tee time. Great dewy here.

We had to wait 30 minutes to tee off because they only had 9 holes open.

Then when we turn to play another 9 holes we had to wait another 30 minutes to tee off.

They didn't have anybody working, it was a mess.

Will not play here for a while.

I play this course all the time, The greens were really long. Should have been cheaper. I was very disappointed.

Pine Creek Golf Club is a great golf course in the North end of Colorado Springs that is running itself into the ground! I don't profess to know all there is to running a good golf club but I do know what makes an outing enjoyable vs. unbearable. Let's start with a few items:

- STOP overbooking. Put 10 minutes in between each group rather than trying to cram groups into 7 minute intervals!

- WHERE ARE YOUR RANGERS?!?!?! A good course should have at least one ranger during the week and at least two on the weekends...with a starter! Played yesterday (Sunday, April 3)...the weather was beautiful, the course was jam packed and NO RANGER on the course and NO STARTER on the 1st tee! Are you kidding me?!?!?! Pace of play was so slow and groups would casually look for their balll that they drove 150 yards into the thick wooded areas! That is unacceptable on a busy weekend and a Ranger would have addressed that.

- On a busy weekend....DO NOT ALLOW WALKERS....especially if they are over 60 years old!

- Beverage cart....saw it once....as we were teeing off the first hole! Never saw it a second time.

I love Pine Creek the course....some of the most beautiful views in the area...great contour, challenging holes and a good variety of tee boxes. But I am at my whits end. I can't justify a weekend round taking 6 hours to complete. It is painful. It doesn't help your game, and if the ownership of this course doesn't address this with investing in some course management personnel, I will find an alternate place to golf.

I thought the course was pretty good. I enjoyed it. But I found it very annoying that there was not one ball washer or garbage container on the entire course. Not one.

But most irritating of all is that the score card does not include any ratings and slopes for any of the tees. Neither does the Plum Creek website. How is that possible???? No excuse for that. I found them on golfnow.com and another site, but they contradict each other so I don't know what to do about tuning my score in for handicap.
