Pine Creek Golf Club
About
Pine Creek Golf Course is part of the La Plata Communities in Colorado Springs. The course winds through the Pine Creek Valley, providing a lush and varied landscape. The course sprawls across high plains grasslands with abundant trees and lakes coming into play throughout. The seemingly gentle terrain has tricky undulations that total over 375 feet of elevation changes. The front is a canyon-style nine while the back is more of an American links design. There are creek beds coming into play on nearly every hole as well as strategically placed bunkers. In addition to the challenging round, the golf course offers stunning views of Pikes Peak, the Front Range, and the entire Colorado Springs skyline. At Pine Creek there is also a unique elevated, target-oriented grass driving range, a practice green, and a short game area.

A heavy frost covered the vegetation as the maintenance crews blew out the sprinkler system as we played. This is the tee box of # 11. Photo submitted by skibumcolorado on 11/21/2013
Over 5 1/2 Hours
Not a bad course - tough opening hole. The pace of play will make it so that I never return - It was nearly a 6 hour round.
Pine Creek Golf Course is Great!!
Pine Creek is one of the best courses in Colorado Springs. The greens are fast and roll true. The fairways are immaculate and the rough is just right - challenging, but fair... The views of Pike's Peak and the rest of the front range are spectacular. I really enjoyed my day at Pine Creek!!
Enjoyable
We had a fun day at Pine Creek on a windy CS day.Played for 20 bucks in the afternoon after driving down from Denver.Course was in decent shape...no signs of aerification, not sure they even did it in the fall. The course makes you be accountable for your tee ball...trouble if you're wild.Great views of Pikes Peak..good time.
Beautiful Course
In my opinion this is the finest public course in Colorado Springs. The course is challenging but not to difficult if shot placement is decent. I like the fact that you can use every club in your bag. You can take a shot with the driver or use an iron off the tee. The staff are casually pleasant. I would consider the rates a bit high were it not for the discount you get with GolfNow. It's a great program.
Very good course at a great value
No problems checking in, and they showed me all payed up. Pine Creek has a great putting and chipping green. The GPS in the carts is a nice addition; however, I had to switch carts when I found our GPS LED to be defective. Play slowed from the 10th hole on. The rough was deep probably more from the recent rain and ball marks were not repaired on most greens. The greens are very challenging and fun. Overall our experience was a very enjoyable golf outing
Great Course
I will play here as often as I can and will recommend it to my friends
Course was a little soggy in a few spots. But overall good greens and well maintained fairways.
Nice course for the money. Greens were good and fairways were nice...
This course can be challenging
The course is well maintained and is challenging. If your Tee Time is past 3 PM you won't be able to finish the whole 18 holes. Pace of play was really slow. I would play again but with an earlier Tee time.
Worth the trip
I came down from Parker and it was very easy to get on. This was on a friday afternoon and the course was not crowded like most others. It was in the 90's but so was everywhere else. All holes are different and interesting. Some are tricky and takes a little course knowledge to play properly without being too penalized. Pace of play was good for a public course. Course conditions are very good. Greens were a little slower than I'm use too. A fun place to play.
Good shape/good time
Good time. Will go back in the fall..................
Beautiful ... Challenging but attainable
Pine Creek GC is in fantastic shape due the wonderful rain fall this summer ('13). Every hole is quite unique in regards to elevation change and beautiful views. I often feel like I am playing on 3 or 4 distinct courses. Fairways are probably of average width and the rough can certainly be deep. Classic high reward for smart course management and deep punishment for being over aggresive.
Fun course, great staff, nice views
This is a very fun course to play. The front is much tighter than the back and your direction control must be very good. The back opens up a bit and I think the last three holes are super fun to play even though they are probably the tightest holes on the back. They have lots of elevation change with down hill approach shots on 16 and 17; then up hill on 18. Fun Fun Fun
Wonderful staff
Pine Creek is a great course, go play!
The staff is super friendly.
Got a great deal on golf now app.
We'll charge you 18 holes to play 9 holes.
Upon entering the pro shop a heated discussion between the attendant and golfer about letting groups out on the 10th tee in-front of him - a single player. "We have no control of what tee's players start from." - said the attendant. "It's out of my hands and I can't do nothing about it." "I want to see the manager.
!" golfer demands. Attendant, "I'm the only one here." Golfer walks out.
Walked up to the counter, I called earlier and have a 18 hole tee for 5pm. 'Sorry can't do 18 you'll have to do 9 holes." "Why?" i asked. "We just had 3 groups leave at the back 9 and I have 2 groups coming at 4:30." Looking down at my watch i notice it was 4:44pm. "How much for 9 holes?" Pointing on a chart it reads $29 for 18 holes. I notice no listing for 9 holes. "$29" he says. So your charging me 18-hole rate to play 9 holes. Without blinking he says "yep, can't do nothing about it." I walk out. and so should you.
Good course and challenging.
The course was in very good condition and the greens ran at a very playable speed. Not too fast nor too slow. The course has good character with many different looks.
They paired us up with two really fine players and they were both positive and friendly.
Course needs marshals that work
The course was in pretty good shape, just some rough spots in certain fairways. The issue was the round took just over 5 hours. While I realize we teed off at 0830 on a Saturday morning the course has clocks on certain holes reminding players of the pace of play and while we saw a marshal a couple of times they appeared not to be doing anything but simply riding around the course. We even tried to flag one down but he simply stepped on the gas and sped off. There should be no reason a round should take longer than 4 hours and 15 minutes at this course. Pine Creek needs to talk to USAFA about how their marshals actually perform their functions. I will not be visiting this course again.
Great Course
Very good course and well kept and great staff. Enjoy!
Nice course. Poor service.
The woman in the pro shop was not very helpful or friendly. In fact, she came across as rude. We played another course the day before and the person at the counter was able to locate our reservation immediately and was very helpful and informative. In comparison, she had me look up on my phone and show proof that I paid in full online and made it quite clear that if we even stepped on the tee box on the back nine no rain check would be given. It flooded in the surrounding area on Saturday. Nice course but would not play there again.
Good Value for testing course
This course is very challenging with very narrow fairways. You must be very accurate or you are playing from even more challenging lies. Overall the course is well maintained and is worth the cost. I did like the GPS feature in the gas driven golf carts.
This course was in excellent condition!!!
This is the only course I choose to play in the area. Enough said.
