Kona Country Club

Great course in excellent condition. Greens look strange but quite fast. Pace of play was excellent- maybe got lucky. Ocean views were to die for. Highly recommend.

Every hole is a beautiful post card! Pace of play very good. Price was good for a course in HI. And Restaurant has best view of Keauhou bay!

Just finished playing- gorgeous layout! Good conditions, expensive but decent value for HI. 1st to tee off and finished in 2.5 hours! Will definitely play every time I come to Kona.

Kona Country Club is a tremendous value. While the course has issues with crabgrass in the fairways, and it is not as pristine as some of the higher end resort courses, you get a fun, challenging layout with elevation changes, fairways that are not flat, excellent greens, many holes with wonderful ocean views, and brand new golf carts with an excellent GPS system, for a much lower cost. The staff is wonderful! Everyone is friendly and they take great pride in their golf carts, polishing them like brand new cars. If you visit Kona Country Club and don't have a good time, it's on you.

The staff was very friendly. We needed rental clubs and the professional staff worked diligently to get us set up (we caught them on a busy day, as they were wrapping up a morning tournament)... the range was adequate, but drivers are not permitted and you have to buy your ball token in the pro shop... the ocean views and landscaping were excellent... Our family is a mix of low handicap, bogey and junior players. We chose to play a family scramble, as we often do at home, which helps our pace of place. Our foursome was gently on the heels of the adult foursome ahead of us, while the pair behind us waited on us a few times, because we were waiting. All things considered, we played our 18 holes very quickly - from memory 3 1/2 hours.... Everything is expensive in Hawaii. We were able to get discounted green fees through the GN app. If playing on the mainland, I would expect to pay $60-$80, but Kona is not the mainland... We had a blast. The course had wild goats, ferrets and chickens, which were a novelty and not a problem... If we ever return to Kona, we will play this course again.

Course layout and conditions nice, not a hard course for your average player. Beautiful scenic views on many holes and worth the price. Only negative I have is I wanted to finish round with a cold beer in bar area and the bartender made it obvious if I wasn't a local she didn't want to serve. Didn't take away from a great round of golf

I grabbed the tee time from golf now and I’m glad I did! The course is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. I had a few cold ones and a bite to eat at the restaurant after the e round to complete a great day! Thanks!

Fantastic experience and a fun well kept layout. Subtle breaks in the greens kept it challenging both days and the tips at sea level provided challenges for our entire group.

This is now our favorite golf course on the Big Island. The course in good condition and pace of play was excellent. Now they have newer golf carts. Like the GPS in carts.

Good conditions and pace. 4/18.. great views of ocean.. worthwhile to do the view bar n grille after a round ..
