The Ocean Course is one of two championship courses at Kona Country Club. As its name implies, this course has an oceanfront location with views of the surrounding mountains that are home to its sister course, the Mountain Course. The Ocean Course provides an easier, but no less enjoyable round than its sibling. The layout features wide-open fairways and numerous strategically placed sand bunkers. The turquoise waters and black lava outcroppings provide natural hazards. The signature holes are the third and 12th, but one of the most memorable is the 13th hole where during November through March, you can catch a glimpse of a humpback whale. While both Kona C.C. golf courses provide a variety of challenges, the Ocean Course is a gentle, more player-friendly option that still features the same stunning views as the Mountain Course.

Excellent day of golf!
The course was in very good condition. The greens were punched 2+ weeks before. Wide fairways and three beautiful holes along the ocean. Very nice GPS in carts with two bottles of water included.

Nice course. Good value.
Course is beautiful, especially the seaside holes. Very good condition in April. Pace of play was quite good on the front 9, but slowed to a crawl on the back due to some novice golfers. Really enjoyed this course.

Nice Course
Kona CC is a nice layout. Some challenging holes as well as a nice variety. Starts inland and ends up along the ocean. Nice views. The course was in great condition and the wind wasn’t blowing very hard.
Enjoyed the round and would recommend it if you are staying in the area.
