The Ocean Course is one of two championship courses at Kona Country Club. As its name implies, this course has an oceanfront location with views of the surrounding mountains that are home to its sister course, the Mountain Course. The Ocean Course provides an easier, but no less enjoyable round than its sibling. The layout features wide-open fairways and numerous strategically placed sand bunkers. The turquoise waters and black lava outcroppings provide natural hazards. The signature holes are the third and 12th, but one of the most memorable is the 13th hole where during November through March, you can catch a glimpse of a humpback whale. While both Kona C.C. golf courses provide a variety of challenges, the Ocean Course is a gentle, more player-friendly option that still features the same stunning views as the Mountain Course.

Best Couse with good challenge

Megan on course was great with getting to us when we needed refreshments . Food in bar/cafe was good and service pretty good. Staff in golf store were nice as well as they people giving and cleaning the carts. Good Couse with good challenge.

Best Course in this price bracket

Loved the views, GPS cart, and beautiful manicured fairways! Best find in Kona ! Greens were not that quick but much better shape then other courses.

The food at the view restaurant was very good !

Staff fantastic!

Must play course. The best bang for buck !

L9ved the ambience- cart girl came frequently and was exceptional !

Awesome Course

The checkin was easy, very friendly staff. There was a shortage of carts so people not always sent out correctly. Had a threesome and five some in front and a single behind our foursome.

The course is fantastic, beautiful ocean view holes and very playable, Pace of play picked up on the back nine so only a 4 1/2 hour round in the end.

It is my favourite course on the island so far!!!!!!

Morning Well Spent

Kona Country Club Golf Course is a very nice course. Enough of a challenge for advanced players while relatively forgiving for newer ones. Quite advantageous ladies tees. Wonderful views and a pleasant round. Almost every green slopes towards the ocean on relatively quick greens. A bit pricey but since you’re already here you should probably play it at least once.

A Beautiful Day at Kona G. C.

I really like this course. Ocean views, well kept, friendly staff, are all standard. A knucklehead single named Jacob played with us... until he went off on his own. Otherwise it was a perfect day at Kona G. C. I recommend it!

No better place to play golf!

The KCC is a great place to play golf. The weather is always great as it is right on the Kona Coast... literally!

There are holes that have REAL hazards.... lava rock, or the Pacific Ocean. Actually every hole has lava as a hazard. The course is well maintained... only a few spots where the grass is thin, in large part due to cart traffic.

The staff is always friendly and helpful.
