About

The Ocean Course is one of two championship courses at Kona Country Club. As its name implies, this course has an oceanfront location with views of the surrounding mountains that are home to its sister course, the Mountain Course. The Ocean Course provides an easier, but no less enjoyable round than its sibling. The layout features wide-open fairways and numerous strategically placed sand bunkers. The turquoise waters and black lava outcroppings provide natural hazards. The signature holes are the third and 12th, but one of the most memorable is the 13th hole where during November through March, you can catch a glimpse of a humpback whale. While both Kona C.C. golf courses provide a variety of challenges, the Ocean Course is a gentle, more player-friendly option that still features the same stunning views as the Mountain Course.

I have been playing at Kona Country Club on my winter trips for 10 years. The condition and maintenance have really improved. Staff is friendly too.

Beautiful course. Challenging. Good pace of of play

I had to pay 38$ for my wife to share my cart. This is to expensive . Kind of tourists exploitation

Great Experience

My wife and I love this course. For 90 players this ix a very enjoyable course, not too difficult yet difficult enough to challenge us. Wide fairways, beautifully groomed fairways and greens. We look forward to playing here again. Excellent food and service in the restaurant..

Great Course, but

We had to wait a lot and because our tee time was at 1:32pm, we suddenly got a message that we had to return carts by 5:30pm, meaning we couldn’t finish the round. No one told us that before we went out, nor did we see any marshals. It’s too bad since it’s a great course and we felt slighted.

Great course

We really enjoyed the course and while it was overcast we didn’t see any rain until the last two holes. The layout was difficulty were manageable for my wife and challenging enough for me! We will play this course again when we return!

Ideal Island Golf

The Kona Country Club ambience was spectacular with great views from numerous holes... As a non-local , The concern of mine was that I would not feel welcomed! I absolutely was wrong as the staff at the Kona Country Club was as friendly as could be. From the pro shop on down the staff was helpful friendly and full of good advice to best experience their course.

I cannot wait to play this course again, It was an excellent condition. Great work Conan country club keep it up
