Kona Country Club

Kona Country Club is a great course that will challenge any skill level. The greens are in great shape and if you think you read enough break you probably didn’t. I ended up playing with a local golfer which was great. Lots of scenic ocean views with lots of. Challenging shots. I’m going back soon.

The fairways are in really good shape. The greens are on the medium speed side. Views of the ocean are to die for!! It’s a fairly hilly course that makes you have to work at keeping the ball in play. Overall a very nice course!!

Great course! Restaurant and bar are fantastic

My 2-some arrived early to get familiar with the facility, practice, and have a cocktail. The desk staff seemed slightly annoyed and even commented that we didn't need to check-in two hours before teeing off ... fair enough.

One of us needed rental clubs. They were delivered in terrible condition but played fine.

The driving range isn't long enough to hit a driver and isn't free! (hence the "Barely a Country Club" title of my review)

Playing the course was mostly enjoyable. It's not difficult and has very few hazzards. The views are great ... after all, it's Hawaii.

There's no ranger and they allow singles/doubles so the front nine played in just over an hour. The back nine was totally different. We caught up to an 8-some ... yes, eight!

All-in-all, with a Hot Deal of $103 I'd recommend the course but be aware ... it's no Country Club.

Great course with some ocean views, staff was friendly and bar/restaurant was very nice.

Like all of us, it’s been a few years since I was on the Big Island. I knew I wanted to play Kona Country club and getting a time wasn’t a problem. Staff at check in were friendly and accommodating. There is a grass range and it’s ok. Range balls are mainly “lost balls” probably from the course. $ 10 for the basket is a bit rich. Overall course conditions were nice. Fairways are wide and generous. Some of the greens were slow others medium speed. I guess weather dictates how low they can cut and roll them ? 85 degrees every day so guess you have to be careful. There are 2 or 3 holes on each 9 that play alongside the water and have spectacular views. Per other reviews, they allow single players so pace can be slow. Pace was better than when I last played there in 2019. If you are staying in Kona it’s worth playing and I can’t wait to go back next year.

Best buy for golf in Kona. The play is very slow, Single players are sent out, which creates slow play.

NO ON-COURSE RANGER TO MONITOR PACE OF PLAY.

My buddy and I tried to course in Sunday at 12:20. The course wasn't super busy due to the heat but it was not bad at all. The carts have a built in range finder and show hole placement. The course was beautiful and I would highly recommend.

A few fairways need some love. They look like they got fertilizer burned. But other than that I’d play it everyday!

The play was very slow, we finish in over 5 hrs. No ranger on course to move the slow players.

Greens and fairways are very good. The tee areas are not very good. Driving range poor grass hitting areas.

This course was fantastic from start to finish. First, patiently I waited for a hot deal to come out and the price to drop. Usually, the round costs $180 per person, but the hot deal dropped it down to $69 on the day of play. From that moment forward, the course was fantastic. The views are outstanding. The course condition was perfect and pace of play was about 3:45 for my 11-year-old son and I. Another huge plus, the staff was so welcoming especially to my junior son. I highly recommend Kona Country Club if you are playing on the Big Island.

I have played this course other times and the greens were extremely fast. Today they were just perfect. The pin placements seemed a bit easier for me. Just had a great time, pace of play was great, weather comfortable, breezy. Screamed like a girl when a Huge Spider was crawling up my shirt after I went looking for some lost balls in the brush.

I booked through this app many times but when I got to the club house I had to pay. Need reimbursement
