Kona Country Club

The terrain for this course on the Big Island of Hawaii is excellent and years ago the course condition was pretty good. Now the sand bunkers are in terrible shape (no sand, many weeds) and the fairways are so full of weeds that you often have a difficult lie. The condition of the greens is better, but not very good.

The course has some pretty holes and the pace was very good however no starter meant no playing partners. Not sure what happened but being paired as a threesome and playing solo with no starter present sucks. The playing conditions specifically greens was inconsistent

All new carts with gps and improved maintenance makes the course more fun to play. It has great ocean front holes and a blowhole on 13 tee. We play it 2 -3 times every time we come to the big island.

I played this course today. The fairways were wide and in good shape. As for the greens they were shaggy and slow. Considering the price they ask to play you would think range balls would be included like most resort courses and not and extra $10. Also, charging for a cup of ice seems excessive. I pay $30 -$40 for a round usually and don’t pay for cup of ice. The cart people have a tip jar but for what? You have to empty your own trash out of cart as well as I had to lump my own clubs from the club drop off in front to the back. They did nothing except have me sign for the cart. Save your money and drive a little further for a better experience and a more reasonable rate for what you get.

Lastly, we were waiting every hole and no one was getting them to step it up. We also had a few locals who thought it was fine to hit into us and not say fore or apologize though we were waiting for those ahead of us because No Marshall

If it was not for GN hot deal I would have really been upset.

This was our first time here. While the greens were a bit rough, we really enjoyed the course. Layout is good and the staff was great!! We will definitely be back on our next trip!

Course is in great shape and the views are breathtaking.

I really enjoyed playing this course today. Given the bad storms we just had, the course was still in great shape. Fun layout with some elevation changes that made it challenging. Greens were top slow for my liking, but as they dried out the got a faster.

We are playing the expensive resort courses on the island but decided to try this course near to where we are staying. It is affordable, playable and in excellent shape. A great choice for a casual day of golf in paradise.

Nice efficient check in and staff were all pleasant. A little slow pace of play wise but otherwise a great day. Will play there again.

Anytime I get it at this price I am a happy golfer. It doesn't matter what I shoot. Riding around, enjoying the perfect weather and beautiful scenery is well worth the price.
