About
Formerly a cornfield, Robert Trent Jones Jr. utilized the natural area and the import of over 600,000 cubic yards of dirt to create the challenging Ute Creek Golf Course. The championship course has a traditional links-style layout that is said to challenge even the most avid of golfers. The public, 18-hole golf course offers 7,167 yards from its longest tees, playing to a par of 72. It features several water hazards, especially on the back nine holes, with five lakes situated on the course and two streams that wind through it. Ute Creek Golf Course's well-bunkered greens and undulating, multi-level fairways provide more interesting elements to the game.

Ute should play here
I decided to play here because my regular course is completing aeration today and tomorrow. I must say it was worth the drive. The layout is fun, although not a lot of variety. The conditions were good, but the greens were a bit slow for my taste. There is no GPS on the golf carts, so a GPS or GPS app will be very helpful. I played 6820y and this was a fair test, not a lot of forced carries, but there is a Penalty Area on at least half of the holes. The par 3’s were very enjoyable, and the par 5’s provided a good test (five of each). The greens are small, so playing to the middle will always be a good shot. Most of the green complexes were slight elevated, and this was a nice change from a typical links course.

One of BEST courses in area
Overall this one of my favorite courses in the area and will definitely play it again. Cart Girl was attentive and make around 4 times thru the round. It was my first time playing course but overall the course was fair and in GREAT condition. GREAT Experience

Lots of sand and water
This course was well watered, which ment there was no roll. With the sand, undulations, water features, and challenging ruff, it plays longer than you would guess from looking at the yardage. The greens were a challenge to read. The putting green was excellent, and the chipping area was in excellent shape, and offered all types of conditions to chip from. The course also has an excellent view of the mountains.

Great course to play but the staff could be kinder.
The condition of the course and the course design itself was great, helps that it rained the night before. Lots of sand traps that made each hole challenging in their own way.
The problem was we were rushed by one Marshal after the 3rd hole (there was a twosome in a cart behind that we said could play through if they liked from the first tee), just to find a different Marshall after hole 4 that said our pace was fine, then by the time we pull up to hole 8 there were two groups waiting for the tee box. Finally right as we pulled up to 18 one last Marshall tells us to hurry up and hit when we were grabbing our clubs out of the bag, and the group behind was still on their fairway. Completely ruined the round thinking about speeding up our play the whole day.

A Pretty Good Course
This course is a good value for the general Denver area. It was in pretty good shape considering the hot dry weather lately.

Fun Course
Course has a fun layout, lots of options off the tee. Not a whole lot of elevation change but other obstacles such as dog legs and water options make up for it. If your in the Longmont area this Course is hard to beat and I would say don't pass up an opportunity to play here, added bonus is the staff, all of them are friendly and helpfull.

Great value. Fun and challenging.
One of the best values in the northern suburbs. Love the courses views. It’s a challenging but fun design with plenty of target-like holes and grip it and rip it ones too.

Good Course, Slow Play, Hit Hard By Traffic
Overall a really well laid out course but for a Wednesday at noon, it was a snails pace of play. Greens had been hit pretty hard by all the traffic as well as the course in general. Not a bad value for the money by any means, but next time I play I'll try and be one of the first ones out so I'm not in for a 5 hour round

A day on a course is a good day!!!
Place of play was very good, in fact our foursome was the slow ones. Over-all course conditions were very good, with a few brown spots on the greens here and there.
