first time out in ct this year. greens were in great shape, though still recovering from aeration and some sand. they were slow but expected for early season. bunkers were in good condition and fairways were ok as most all grasses were dormant. pro shop and starter were friendly and pace of play was good even through some holes had 3 groups on tee-box at same time, it really didnt impact overall pace since it was walking only,, the breather was welcome. snack bar was not open nor was there a beverage cart, but it is mid march in CT so no worries.

Course is in great shape for this late in the season. Interesting layout, friendly staff, well maintained fairways, traps and greens.

Would love to play again when it is not backed up. It was a fun layout and in great condition

What a great track. Fun and challenging at the same time. Great mix of holes and in beautiful condition considering the rain we have received. I got paired up with a couple members Dave and Chuck and another single who frequents the course. I never know what to expect when getting paired with strangers, but these two were down to earth and a pleasure to play with. The assisted in different aiming points and the breaks on the greens . I will definitely be going back to play again. If this course was close to home, I’d consider joining! Thanks again everyone!!

Despite all the rain the course was in great shape. Tee boxes will enjoy a break to rebuild . Course was a lot of fun and challenging,

Played on 8/16/21. Course is a fun, but short, layout. Super nice staff. Nice putting/chipping green. They have a range which I was told is a 20 minute walk from the clubhouse. It’s on the middle of the course, which is kind of odd. I treat that as if there isn’t a range at the course since I had 30 minutes before my tee time to warm up and didn’t want to waste 2/3 of my time walking to the range. Course had a big tournament the day before so it was beat up pretty bad. I’d certainly play it again, but, I couldn’t give it more than 3 stars for lack of range accessibility and course conditions. With that being said - can’t really go wrong for $40 to walk 18.

Course had some slow play late afternoon on a beautiful Saturday. I am used to playing under 4 hours as a member,. This day would have been more like 5.5hours but I walked off, too late, too slow.

I love this course and have for years. ProShop guys are awesome. Greens are rolling really nice.

Nice course layout that makes you have to hit your shots consistently but doesn’t hurt you to bad if you miss hit a little.

The greens were in amazing shape and even with all the rain recently it still was as wet as I expected. The greens rolled great as well. Definitely play again.

The course is not very long offering a lot of risk/reward on deciding driver vs. hybrid/iron off the tees. The huge greens are very difficult for a first time player of the course. Many greens are elevated with false fronts and/or multiple tiers. Several pin placements made course knowledge required to know what area of the green to be on for a legit putt.

We went out after a member/member tournament so it's possible the pins were intentionally difficult.

All that said, the course is great and I would highly recommend.

HOWEVER, if you are a slow player or high handicapper this course is not for you. The pace of play rules state a 4 hour round should be achieved and for groups that have several players who hit in the high 90s or 100s they will be challenged to keep pace and finish holes.
