The Shoe Course at Golden Horseshoe Golf Club

I hit The Shoe with a three-star course layout score because I believe in my heart of hearts that short courses should be all about walking. I'm guessing more than half the groups take a cart since there are some serious hills to navigate. There were also limited push carts available when we walked, so I hope that's something that is rectified. The new putting green that can be used for practice or as a putting course is probably the best addition to the property. I can see all sorts of kids, families and beginners giving it a try in between all the other family activities in Colonial Williamsburg.

Course just opened this year. I found the course to be quite fun a slightly challenging walk with several fun par 3 holes. The course was quite short for par 3 courses.

I also enjoyed the 18 hole putting course just off the 1 st tee.
