Lazy Sunday afternoon golf!
Made a late week reservation and was able to get a good rate through golf now. The course was in good condition but it is tough when you haven't played it in a while because there are a lot of hidden hazards and the Green's undulate quite a bit.
Great Day
This course is a nice challenging course. If you are in the area you must stop bye and play it.
Best Value per $
Whitney farms is a great golf course and playing there does not break the bank as badly as some surrounding courses. Have played here multiple times and will continue to play here in the future.
Challenging but fair
The course is in great shape (as usual). I liked some of the subtle changes (removing some bunkers) that made the round more enjoyable.
Clurse over all was in good condition. A big problem was the fact that there was no water to be found on any holes. Ball cleaner's almost non existent. The greens were inconsistent, some fast some slow, which might have been caused by the heavy rain the day before.
Whitney Farms
The fairways and rough were in okay shape. Greens were awful. The greens keeper needs to check the greens out. Course isn't worth 60.00. Worth 25.00 on a hot deal. Won't go back again.
Nice
Course is in very good condition. Greens are true, a little slow due to aeration but a very enjoyable round.
course was great. greens little slow due to aerating a week before. understandable. people at the club very helpful and courteous. my only problem was that they did not put any water on the course. they were preparing for tournament at 1 pm but no excuse. it was well in the 80s for those of us playing. We finished just before tournament started. will go back again.
Great public course
I love playing Whitney Farms. The course is well maintained and very fair with pricing. It's perfect for your average golf player and the staff and fellow players are super friendly. I recommend this course to anyone.
Pace of play is excellent and course is challenging.
My foursome had an 11:00 tee time and we got off right on time. Since they don't have anyone monitoring the start times it is left up to the groups to work out who has what tee time. This practice has worked the couple of times I have played here so I guess it works for them. The course was somewhat wet and unfortunately the greens still had holes in them from the previous weeks aeration. This would have been nice to know prior to the booking. Lastly, the greens here are quite challenging to putt as you never seem to have a putt that does not have a significant amount of break. Overall I recommend playing here (at least during the week) as it is priced quite fairly and the course is above average in difficulty.
Great bang for the buck
Got great deal thru the website for weekeday greens fees. Quick 4 hour round. Only downside was greens had been aerated. Still good bang for buck.
Whitney Farms
Wow lots of great updates here. New staff new carts new lay out too. Live next to course stopped playing it three years ago old pro and staff were nasty and did not give a $&@@.
This was a very great change will be back soon
no drinking water
The grill restaurant was closed there was no drinking water on the course nothing to drink for sale in the clubhouse
Course was in good shape for early in the season. One complaint is there were at least 6 cups positioned far too close to a ridge/shelf.
Nice Layout
I have played here about 5 times. Great layout and course is always in very good conditions. It was great to see they were working on some improvements while we were playing. Was cloudy all day and then got rained out on the 15th hole.
Golf
321 tee time... didn't tee of till 330. Waited on every hole for at least 10 min. Took nearly 2 1/2 hours to get through 9 holes. That should never happen
