In the top 2 on the East Side of St. Lou
I play this course often because it’s a great Palmer design and today it was in the best condition that I’ve seen it in a long time. It’s half the price as the next best course in the area, and in many ways, I like it better. The Zoizia fairways are plush and no houses to hit if you let one loose (lol). Greens are bent grass, large, easy to hit, and roll true, with fair amount of undulation to make it fun.
Great course
Course was in great shape, one of my favorites to play.
Overall decent course, but another Metro Least course with greens that look like moonscapes! When will the STL bumpkin learn to repair their ball marks?
ALWAYS A FUN LAYOUT
They were running 15 minutes behind due to a corporate outing so the clubhouse guy flipped me a couple tokens for range balls. Teed off at 4:30 and never saw any other golfers except for 2 longhitters on the 2nd hole that we let play thru. The number of people that don't fix their ball marks on greens has gotten ridiculous. Not just at public courses, freaking annoying.
Great Conditions - Super Fast Greens
Spencer T. Olin has the best and fastest greens in the area.
Overall, the conditioning of the course was superb. Only issue I saw was where some standing water had been in the fairway, you will see some brown spots and weeds. For the price of under $40 (seniors) on the weekend, no one beats this value with the layout and conditioning of this course.
Great layout
Top notch facility for the price. Nice layout, fairways and greens in good shape. Very few straight putts. Challenging.
Beat up greens, but great course layout!
Coming from a st louisan driving 45 minutes to get to the course...
Pros: The course layout is one of the best around, which is why I’m willing to make the haul.
Cons: Im an early morning player and the greens were littered with unrepaired divots and debris. Despite the commute, if I’m paying north of $50 anywhere, I certainly do not expect greens to be littered with unrepaired divots and debris.
Great value
Normally worth the drive.
Today was just an off day due to something happening early in the day.
Hot Friday July 5th with a stacked tee sheet = 5:05 hour round.
I will give them a mulligan.
Pace of play is usually very good.
Course is in great shape.
People need to be reminded to repair their ball marks and be more respectful of the course.
Good customer service
Management
When I arrived to the course I was a single reservation with Golfnow. The staff told me that the people that had a reservation for three brought a fourth person and they honored that and I was out of luck. Where they gave me a rain check, that’s just not right. Maybe you should consider taking them off Golf now
Great Course!
They do Arnold Palmer proud! Well maintained, great value for the money.
Worth the Drive
This course has a very nice layout and plays well for all ability levels. Most holes are forgiving off the tee w hardage signs on the Par 3 tee boxes.
The course lacked sufficient yardage markers on the fairways and could improve in this area.
With all the rain and flooding in the area, the course was in very good shape. Pace of play on this day was excellent
Enjoyable course
The course was in great shape considering all the bad weather we have had...
GREAT COURSE
HAD TO TAKE A COUPLE YEARS OFF DUE TO INJURIES AND FORGOT HOW FLAWLESS SPENCER T IS. FROM TEE BOX TO GREEN THE COURSE WAS IN GREAT SHAPE. I EVEN SHOT AN 82 WHICH FOR ME IS A GREAT ROUND. PACE OF PLAY WAS GOOD AND OVERALL IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE. I WILL DEFINATELY BE GOING BACK.
