Spencer T. Olin Golf Course

This Arnold Palmer gem has been in fantastic shape all this year. Even with all the golf outings they have here, it has been in great shape all season long. I've played this course several times this year, and have been pleased every single time. Will be back again for sure.

This Arnold Palmer course has always been a favorite, and among the best in the area with Gateway, Stonewolf, Annbriar and Far Oaks. This year, the course is in phenomenal shape from teeboxes to the greens. So glad to see this gem still shine, and I plan to play Arnie's course a bunch more before 2018.

Upone arriving to Spencer T. Olin, it was raining, heavily from a "pop-up" thunderstorm. The storm passed within 20 minutes, but we were greeted at the door with "course is closed, and you'll have to contact golf now to get your money back."

Clearly, Mary, who runs the office did not want us to play. I responded by saying "we'll wait until the storm passes." She was very rude and unpolite. Her response was, 'you'll have to wait 30 minutes because of the lightnight." I don't mind course rules, etc., but the tact with which this person treats patrons at Spencer t. Olin is very unkind to say the least. I was a member there last year and chose not to renew my membership because of the customer service of the staff. Really enjoy playing this course, but dealing with the front office is a pain in the neck at this place, and I will most likely not come back.

One of the premier courses in the Greater Saint Louis area and I played at 3 o'clock on a Thursday afternoon for only $8! Greens are great, speedy for a public course, challenging layout and well taken care of. I will definitely be back and wouldn't mind paying their regular rates.

Enjoyed the round at Spencer T. Olin very much. Very challenging course that is in great condition.

I Love this course, it is interesting from start to finish. It is better than I am but I hope to change that!

Great day. Greens were very true and at a good pace. Fairways were terrific. And the areas around the green were in great shape.

I'm ready to go play there anytime!

One of the most enjoyable rounds of the year so far. The course played great. The fairways were full, manicured perfectly. The greens were fast but rolled very true. Only criticism is I wish the carts had club cleaner/ball washer attachment on them.

Went to check in at the course and was immediately confronted by the women working the pro shop. I got a hot deal on golfnow and she made it a point to let it be known that there was no way in he'll that someone paying a cheap rate was going to get a raincheck if the sky opened up. The strange thing was that neither me or my buddy asked anything about raincheck policies, I hadn't thought of it at all. She really made the both of us feel like we weren't welcome since we weren't paying full rate. My buddy found a pullover outside the clubhouse at the turn and walked into the pro shop to turn it in, no one in there and he was immediately interrogated by the same person as to why he would dare walk into the pro shop. Again great customer service on her part. If you're looking for a decent course in the area and don't mind being talked down to for being a nonregular then try out the course it's not terrible, but watch out for the staff, they're terrible.

I hadn't played this course in years, because its an hour trip from my home. I love this layout, and the course condition for the price is terrific. I won't wait so long to go back. I will make the trip a few more times this year.

Pace of play was great thanks to another bad weatherman prediction. Great layout, friendly staff. Only issue was the greens seem to need a little attention, but rolled true for the most part. Would recommend.

I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE CONDITIONS OF THE COURSE AND IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL DAY TO PLAY GOLF. THE COURSE WAS VERY CHALLENGING AND MY COMPANIONS AND I HAD A GREAT TIME.

Excellent course, Arnold Palmer design. Very challenging with a lot of character. I love this layout, wish it were closer to my house.

One of my favorites. We had a great day. The course was in great shape, as usual. The layout and challenges are remarkable. This course always forces me to make both great shots and poor ones when I fail to concentrate.

This is a great course, especially in the summertime when the fairways are green. Bring your putting "A" game as a greens are very fast. This is an Arnold Palmer design course . Only thing negative I could say is the pace of play was very slow, however this seems common for this area.

The course is great shape but the fairways r cut to short

It had been three or four years since I have played Spencer. Tough course, challenging layout and the greens were lightning fast. Everything it makes a course worth going back to. Awesome!

Arnold Palmer-designed course. Great layout, target golf all the way. The course is in excellent condition, save for the boneheads that refuse to repair ballmarks on the greens and rake bunkers.

Great value. I was able to get a Hot Deal on a Wednesday afternoon ($10+tax=$13.50, including cart).

I love this golf course, but 6,400 yards from the white tees is a little much for a short-hitter like me. Need to move up to the senior tees next time.
