About
Garrisons Lake Golf Club, nine miles north of Dover, is a historic play centrally located to all parts of Delaware. The course is nature friendly: with tree-lined fairways and large, well bunkered greens throughout. The par-72, 7,060-yard course was recently renovated and improved, and players of all abilities will be confronted with a fair challenge. Not that there aren’t hurdles. Garrisons Lake is book-ended by two long plays: The 535-yard, par-5 first features out of bounds along the left side, and the 536-yard 17th features a challenging tee shot with trees on the right side. Garrisons Lake Golf Club also has a bustling practice range, putting green, golf shop and snack bar.

Course is coming back good. Yet there needs to be more invested in upkeep while face lift is underway. I suggest more water on greens to allow for weighted rolling and then cut them. So many weird undulations inside most greens causing strange movements on a line putt. Yikes!!
Otherwise still like course.
Nice course
Nice layout, fun greens, and relaxing play. Tee times were adequate spaced. Club house is trailer style, but has drinks and items needed on the course if forgot something.

Great day, enjoyed seeing the work they are doing on the course. This is a gem, greens were terrific!
Not a great day
As we approach the 4th green, I notice 4 carts at the 5th tee box. That was frustrating to see. Unfortunately it got worse when the 7 of them rolled on down the fairway at the same time!! Was a kids tournament playing behind us, and by th 7th hole, we were all waiting on the 7some to play. The kids only played the front 9. The group never offered us to play thru. Closer to a 5 hour round than had to be.
Course improvements continue. One bad day will not stop me from coming back. Look forward to playing again this season and would recommend.
12th hole
The course is in great shape. fairways could grow in better but we have had a cold spring. Once the 12th hole is completed you guys will have a beautiful course! I love what you have done with the ponds!!!!
Fun course in good shape
The course has been aerated yet in good shape to play and enjoy your game. Hole 12 the par 5 is being improved so pardon the construction . It’s set up as a par 3 currently.
The driving range is back up and in good shape.
Course still had winter conditions
This was my first time playing the course. Overall, I liked the course layout. Seemed open and not many hazards to worry about. Fairways had just been plug aerated and grass on some fairways were still dormant. Greens probably would have been okay, however they had just been top dressed with sand ( a lot ) and really couldn't get an accurate read. Still had debris from trees allover. it looked as though grounds keepers were working hard to get season ready. Also, the course is about to take on construction for a new clubhouse to improve much needed amenities. I will play Garrison's Lake again.
Good Value
For $35 it’s hard to beat. The greens were not good! Tons of sand. Pace of play was lightening fast!

Good course for the value
I’ve played this course for years and I’ve always like the layout. Currently there is on fairway that’s under repair and the grass is thin in a few areas. It should be right in a few weeks.
Friendly staff and good conditions
I came to play this course on March 20th, 2023. My early morning tee time was delayed due to frost delay. The staff was very friendly and told me I would be first one to go after the frost delay was lifted. I played alone and zipped through the course in two hours. The courses has some challenging holes and have lots of trees. It is relatively flat. The course playing conditions were fair. I enjoyed my time there. I would play it again if I get an opportunity.
