About
Garrisons Lake Golf Club, nine miles north of Dover, is a historic play centrally located to all parts of Delaware. The course is nature friendly: with tree-lined fairways and large, well bunkered greens throughout. The par-72, 7,060-yard course was recently renovated and improved, and players of all abilities will be confronted with a fair challenge. Not that there aren’t hurdles. Garrisons Lake is book-ended by two long plays: The 535-yard, par-5 first features out of bounds along the left side, and the 536-yard 17th features a challenging tee shot with trees on the right side. Garrisons Lake Golf Club also has a bustling practice range, putting green, golf shop and snack bar.

A little early in season
First time playing here liked the layout of the course but the Bermuda has not greened up yet. Looks like they are in the process of upgrading a lot of the course so I think by mid summer it will be nice. Bunkers need work greens were just punched and sand. Maybe just bad timing would give it a shot later in the season
Nice public course
The course is a nice layout, fairly easy, but can't make up its mind whether it wants to be a bermuda course or not..Greens were in Excellent shape for December.
Much better
Greens are well maintained fairways have dry grass but still playable.
There are too many tee boxes, perhaps not required for this course. But not a major issue
Overall good value for money.

Payment at Course not what Golfnow said
I used Golfnow all the time. I always pay at the golf course. On Sunday 9/19/21, when we went pay in the golf shop, we had to pay $40 not the $35 that was advertised on Golfnow. I have played Garrison many times with my friends this year and this is the first time this happened. When I asked about it, the guy in the pro shop was very rude. We are going to stop playing at Garrison for a while. Sad because the course has been fun to play.
Online price it’s a good course wouldn’t want to pay full price
Golf course or dog park?
I have played here numerous times, I’ve seen dog parks in better shape than this course. I couldn’t even play on the front nine which scares me because they must have been in horrible shape since the 9 holes that were available were basically 300 yards of dead grass and overgrown weeds. They should be paying me to play on this course. I wish I would’ve saved my money and hit golf balls in my backyard. I went a couple times in Fall and the course was covered with so many fallen leaves I couldn’t even find my ball. It seems like every time I go I have problems. Bad course!
