Decent Wedge Practice
Tee Boxes are closed, so you’re hitting off mats between the blue and white tees. Holes are very short, so everything is a shortened wedge shot. Greens were in rough shape. For the money, it’s OK to get out and hit a few balls quick. Staff was nice.
Lost tee time
Not sure if this was a GolfNow issue or RO one but I arrived late for my tee time and the attendant said I had no tee time and couldn’t jump in anywhere. So I can’t review River Pines yet. But will try again soon.
Great times!!!
I took my twelve-year-old son there today. We had a great time walking the par 3 course the greens and the course overall was in good condition. The holes are short, so it's perfect for kids just starting to learn we loved it the driving range was great also
Ideal for practicing a short game
While the course was OK for practicing for the short game, most of the halls were around 70 yards. Yet. A good course for practicing.
Mats
I understand the mats being out for a public par 3, but they were only in front of the white tees making the course EXTREMELY short. I wouldn't play this again during the winter.
Fun course but needs attention
I guess this is more speaking to maybe the clientele than the ground crew, but we honestly could not believe how pocked with divots the greens were. It was reeeeeeally bad. No attempts were made to repair them. Just craters all over every green. We were the first to go out so it was like that for a while. You could clearly see weeks worth of different stages of divots so the groundskeepers arent repairing (or even rolling) them either. Otherwise everything was just great.
Nice little par 3
Well kept and challenging enough to make it fun. Right on!
Pre-emergent please!
Greens in horrible shape. 50% plus nutsedge. Do they even use preemergent?! Also Mats only at this moment, which is fine. But not when they only have 1 mat and they are all in front of the red tees making almost every hole under 70 yards. Blue and whites need their own mat
Great for short game practice but…
It was a perfect day. I enjoyed this course a lot. However the greens are in a very bad conditions. Let’s see if they can fix it before the end of 2024.
Par 3 course
Going to be brutally honest. The staff was great and very nice. Pace of play was alright, had to wait maybe 2 minutes for each hole which I had no issue with. The par 3 course layout, distance variety, greens are awful. Nothing else to describe but just awful. The layout itself is small and condense which can open up opportunities for injuries, the distance variety is lazy. Nothing longer than 140 yards, personally didn’t use anything longer than an 8. The greens are the worst part, infested with weeds and non repaired pitch marks, however that talks more to the people who play rather than the course itself.
Dont Bring a Putter
Nice Par 3 course except for the horrible greens. Dont bother bringing a putter if you’re looking for short game practice. It’s a par three for Wedges only. Can’t put on the green due to the crabgrass/weeds and divots everywhere. Aside from that. Good layout, fun time for starters except for the waiting at peak hours. Just clean up the greens once in a while!
Par 3 greens have crabgrass growing in them
Terrible par 3 course. Wouldn’t play again. Not maintained in the least and the greens had weeds sticking out of them. Even their putting green has divots and bumps. 0/10, save your money for a better course.
Good location
The location is advantageous, and the staff are exceptionally professional.
Only play here if it’s a deal on GN
Looking to take my son and nephews somewhere for a short round. GolfNow had a special running for a single tee time and so I took it. It was a steal. But when I checked in (overly dressed) the golf pro treated me like a second class citizen. Thankfully we still managed to have a good time through the muddy course and weeded greens. We got lucky and didn’t have anyone in front of us so pace of play was nice. About an hour to play the 9 holes with myself and two kids.
Holiday golf
It was very crowded and had to wait for my turn for 30-45 minutes.
Luckily I joined family of 2 and they were super friendly and nice.
Staff were friendly but maybe I picked a wrong day.
Great Course to improve short game
Played today …great course for beginners and for people who wants to improve short game. Of course for groups to have fun with golf !!
