ATL golf trip
Very friendly staff the golf course was in great condition and I went on a Wednesday so your green fee covers range and lunch. Will definitly come back to play trophy club
Beautiful and well kept course
I will definitely be coming back to play this course again - an instant favorite! The course was in immaculate condition and the staff is super friendly.
I spend a very nice day
The course is quite short distance, therefore, I played from Golf tee. It was nice to be able to see the green from the tee box for most of holes, especially, when I was the first time play the course
Probably pass on this course
Course condition does not justify the cost. Tee boxes are rough and mostly sand, a bad shock on our cart and a 6 hour round! Ten minute wait per hole is rediculous...saw a marshall once...not worth 67 dollars.
Good, not great
This is a very playable course. Challenging on both the short and long holes. Course is in good, not great, shape. Only issue is the pace of play, which ranges from slow to extremely slow at any time of the day.
I have always enjoyed playing this course
I was little surprised that tee and greens were under repair, but that would explain the lower price. Usually it's a little pricy and don't play it because it's higher that I can afford ($40-$50 range). The course is a great track and do enjoy playing it
Fun course. Only decent conditions
Fun course but looks like they are struggling early to keep the greens and tees healthy. Still a fun and not overly difficult course. I breaded through the front nine alone but ran into the end of a tournament on the back. Still worth the discounted tee time.
Good Course at a Great Value
Nice course that plays well for the beginner to moderate golfer. Not too long but will require your whole bag of clubs to play the course well. Week days are easy to get a tee time and enjoy a round in 3-4 hours.
The course need a Marshall
The course was playing very slow. Had to wait at every hole and this was just a regular Thursday.
Profitable course not spending money to maintain it
This course is fairly close to me, so I will play it when I have a last minute window, as I did this last time I played there. I am not sure what they are doing to this course, as the conditions get progressively worse each time I have played it over the past several months. They are attempting to fix the cart paths (replacing the worst stretches), but the greens are poor and inconsistent. An example: they have attempted to sand the greens in the past several days, but not on all parts of all the greens. You would putt through sand on some parts, and go through areas that had no sand, so the speed of the green drastically changed in those areas. Conditions through the green were poor to fair at best. Pace of play was good the day I played, but given the conditions, I see why golfers may have gone other places.
This course lacks everything
I played today and was very disappointed in the condition of the course. For the money I expected to play a much nicer course.
1.) Range balls were in poor condition
2.) Tee boxes had no grass on them
3.) Fairways were hard
4.) No second cut of rough
5.) Greens were super fast and large areas were plugged
6.) Patches of crab grass were everywhere on the green
7.) Large areas of grass were cut away down to the first layer of dirt. Waiting on sod.
8.) Detour of cart paths as they were under repair.
9.) Sand traps should be called dirt traps
10.) Very dry already this year. I am sure the summer will be worse.
11.) No on the course concessions.
Reminded me of playing Bobby Jones, but only in Alpharetta. $66.00 Green fee should be actually more like $35.00 at best.
Not as advertised
The course is in miserable condition. And no on course beverage service. I do not understand how this course has a 4 star rating.
Course is in Rough shape
Tee boxes were terrible, fairways seemed burnt. Not what I have expereinced in the past here. Overall way to much money spent based on condition of the course.
Good layout
Usually a good course but perhaps fairways and greens are suffering from harsh winter cold.
Good twilight golf
Good value, good rate of play on late Saturday afternoon
Where's the grass???
Tee boxes, nothing but sand, fairways had next to no grass (other nearby courses in much better shape right now), greens were smooth but Augusta fast (don't be above the whole ever, if you miss the cup the ball rolls off of the green on most holes). Wait until later in the year to at here, not a lot of fun playing off of hard pan all day!
Better markings
Enjoyed round.
Marking from hole to hole could be better.
Will return.
Very disappointed
This was my first time playing at this course as it was halfway between me and my playing partner. The day was 65 and sunny, but a bit windy. The course was in terrible shape. While we are all used to winter conditions, the fairways were like rock and the grooming was non-existent. To add injury to insult, the carts at this facility have seen better days and the cart paths were all broken up. I don't know how many members they have here, but it sure needs some TLC. On the positive side, the greens ran true and the bunkers had plenty of fluffy sand. Also, the grill in the clubhouse looked to be nice, although I did not eat anything. I would not go back here unless the deal was just too good to pass up and all other area courses were full.
A pleasure to play
Easily one of the best public courses north of the perimeter, and with deals under $30 during the week it's a lot of bang for the money. Course plays slightly longer than it looks on the card (6,001 yards from the blues#. At least 12 chances to hit the driver which I always appreciate.
Few forced carries and many holes that reward you for turning it slightly left or right off the tee, hazards are fair and fairways forgiving, there's some room to miss on all sides. Only lost one ball #sliced OB) then finished round on ball #2. Great that both 9s are bookended with par 5s improving chances of opening and closing with pars or birdies.
