About
Situated just 30 minutes from downtown Chicago, White Pines Golf Club has been a popular spot for both locals and visitors. The club offers two courses, the East and the West. The West Course is longer than the East by 400 yards and considered slightly more challenging. The layout is relatively tight and there is an abundance of trees, which means you'll need to be accurate to do well. The greens are large and challenging with difficult-to-read breaks. There is also minimal, but strategic bunkering along the greensides. The fairways provide plenty of variety with some that are narrow and heavily tree-lined and others that are wide with no trees in sight. The golf course has several challenging holes but it's forgiving enough for beginners to approach with confidence.

White Pines always a good value
Having lived near Elmhurst for the past 35 years, I've played White Pines many times. They went through a through "iffy" years a while back, but now the course is in great shape. The new cart paths prevented any further damage to my kidneys.

you are going to wait
it’s either the players are really slow or they continue to keep overbooking and you’ll be waiting at least 10 minutes a hole, had a 3:40 tee time finished at 820 don’t golf here unless your first out the tee box

Besides the greens being a little beat up (mostly divots so not the courses fault) its in good shape. Can't beat the price.

Carts were pain in the butt
Tees, fairways, and rough were ok. Greens were terrible. Slow rough and nearly unplayable. Worst of all are the carts. Kept cutting off without warning and then would not restart. No real ryme or reason when
they would stop. Was never warned about this by staff and one cart died and never restarted. Can't take carts into parking lot and bag drop to cart barn over 100 yards. Won't be playing here again any time soon.

course review and PANDEMIC PROTOCOL
i was not able to play today because im not comfortable
with the three cart only im 78 years old and i don"t take
the chance of getting the virus because i might be sitting next to a person that got the virus .as for the course it is super nice well maintained .just a little dissapointed about the three cart only rule .i lost some money
today but better safe than sorry .hope you reconsider that three cert rule thanks !

Discovering an IHSA classic
Great course to play with a good variation of difficulty and challenges.
There are a lot of trees along fairways making it quite challenging if you slice or hook your drive too much.
Pace of play was a bit slow but probably linked to the 2 parties ahead of us. It took us almost 5 hours to complete the round.

Go west young man, go west
Played the west course. Under 4 hours. We had a 3- some and had a blast. Love the morning tee time. Greens need a little tlc. Wish more people would fix their ball marks.
Will be back to trusty ol’ White pines.

Great priced right course
I play here three times a week and the course is in great shape and the cost is even better.

Be on the look out
The course was in very good shape some greens were better than others but it was a good value.
I reserved my t time through Tee Off/golf now I picked it up for a great price $28 cart included. I got to the course showed the reservation at the golf shop, they told me first that I had to pay, I showed them I paid already then they said we’ll there is no way that I got it for $28 then I showed them again so then they said that the cart was not included I showed them again that the cart was included. They said it was not possible that cart was included., my reservation showed clearly that I paid with cart included. After a 10 minute discussion and I did not want to get into an argument I asked them how much was the cart it was $10 I paid it and went to play. I called Golf Now and explained what happened they gave me a promo code discount.
My point is that White spines Golf Club makes up its own rules when it comes to on line reservations so keep an eye out for that.
