A Little Slow
Pace of play was too slow. There were three starters on the first tee, it would have been nice if one of them had been in the course to keep play moving. 4-1/2 hour round. Greens were lightning quick. Fairways were average. This time of year you can expect thin grass on non-overseeded fairways and very soft ground.

Incredibly rude staff
This is a mediocre course that gets alot of play, mainly due to location. I've practiced here a number of times, and always felt a sense of unfriendliness, both from the Head Pro as well as the staff manning the Pro Shop. However, I had absolutely the worst treatment from the starter/marshal when playing the course for the first time. On the first tee he barked at us like we were children because he was shifting groups due to singles playing out of turn and wanted our carts to be moved out of the way. Dude literally yelled at us to get out of the cart so he could move the cart, as if we couldn't do it fast enough. Later, on the course, he very rudely told us to stop play because it was nearing the end of the day. Both times we readily obliged, but it left a bad taste in our mouths because of his incredibly rude manner.
My experiences here leads me believe there is a culture here of treating paying customers like we are a nuisance and should be thankful to play here, rather than the other way around. Remember that we are the ones paying to keep this place going, and while there are certainly golfers that lack etiquette and proper behavior, the base assumption cannot be that we all need to be herded around and treated like cattle.
This may sound overly harsh/exaggerated or even like some petty vengeful review but it really isn't. I sincerely sincerely hope that things can be turned around here for the better.

Great day on the Course
From the great par on 1 to the last bogey on 18 the course is a beautiful one. The fairways are kept in great shape. The greens are extremely fast. The ruff where I spent most of my time hitting from is accessible on most every hole.
The ground crew is busy keeping everything in order and when you do run across them they are quick to move out from play.
Nothing negative to say about River Pines.

River Pines
I got a considerable discount to play this course conveniently near my home. The tee boxes and many greens were in poor shape. The rough close around the green;s and just off the fairways is such that you can miss by feet and not find your ball. The layout seems contrived with numerous unplayable areas in the middle of what should be continuous fairways. Overall disappointing. It is high priced vs value due to its convenient location near wealthy subdivisions.

Great public course north of Atlanta.
A public course staple in the north Atlanta area.
Greens have been better and the anack shed could use more options, but great experience and value overall.

The course fairways/greens was ok. Some good and some bad
Didn’t see cart person, no water on course, the greens are in not so good shape, some fairways was ok and other was not so good, no signage on course.
