RiverPines Golf Course

Got to the course half an hour before my tee time and despite seeing so many people practicing and playing, there was more than adequate parking space. The staff manning the pro shop was very welcoming and helpful. After checking in, he directed me to the practice grounds, where i could get some balls for warming up and the location of the carts. Practice bays were adequate. the starter was very pleasant, and after providing the necessary info, he offered some tips and joked with the group. Teed off from the Blues. The course was in fantastic shape despite the rains in the last few days - a few areas were soggy but very playable. The course provided a good mix of tight and wide holes. Riverpines is not as long as other courses but you have to think your way around it and place your ball in the proper areas, otherwise, you will find yourself in tough spots. The holes are fair - good shots are rewarded and the not so good ones are penalized. The greens were well maintained albeit on the slow side (most likely due to the rains). Overall, I would recommend playing this course. Worth the drive and the $$. I would definitely play it again.

A nice layout, but I realize after reading some prior reviews I am not the first one to have paid full price, only to be told on the first tee “yeah y’all aren’t getting in 18”. Me and my buddy are fast golfers, so we could potentially play 18 in 3 hours (5:00 tee time, we were informed we had to be off the course by 8). However, while standing on the tee at 5:00, the starter decided to let a single go in front of us, who decided to play two golf balls with no intention of letting us play through. Ended up only getting in 15 holes, which was very disappointing.

For someone who gets off work and likes to tee off around 5PM, I will be playing other places in the future that will allow me to get in 18, or at least don’t charge full price knowing golfers won’t finish their round.

The course was well maintained and challenging. The greens were in good shape. Lots of danger in the form of water but managed to only lose 2 balls in 18 holes

Course was in excellent shape. Greens were recently punched but rolled well. Pace of play was excellent. Best round in a long time. Shot 83. Will definitely be back.

They have totally taken a money grab at the COVID-19 crowd. They’ll gladly sell you a full price 18-hole tee time at 4pm, and then wait until the 1st tee to tell you that they are shutting down at 7:30p and you have to be off the course. And don’t think they’re not packing it up in front of you to give you any shot at being even nearly close to done before 8pm.

Condition is good, but why the heck do you still need pool noodles sticking up out of the cup?? Put in the shallow cup and let people enjoy their round. They removed all water jugs, but still have a sand bin encouraging people to take a container to fill their divots. Pretty hypocritical. They’ll also sell you 6-beers but then tell you that they’re not supposed to give you a bag of ice due to COVID.

Don’t pretend to be safe and still try to reach into people’s wallets.

Course was in good conditions, Greens were in very good condition not slick but rolled true, I will definitely be playing here more often. Driving range was pretty good as well. Long hitters can reach the far end but, there are enough target to shoot at to dial in your game. Did not like the foam sticking up in the hole (played other courses with a 1/2 cup so you still get the feel of a real putt. All in all a real enjoyable round.

Course played faster than usual - both with pace of play and the course itself. Due to a rare lack of rain, it was nice to see the fairways roll. Pace of play was great - no waiting and no one pushing us. Staff was super friendly and the course was good shape. Keep up the great work!

I’ve played many rounds at RiverPines and would say that the course is in its best shape ever. The greens are pretty smooth and can be fast. Sadly much of the excellent condition is likely due to a little less play during the COVID 19 slow down.

This course does an excellent job of cleaning the carts and facilities plus setting up worry free golfing during this time. They are on top of the safety of their players!

RiverPines is my “home” course. It’s where I hit balls, putt, chip, etc... I keep my GHIN active here & play in a select number of tournaments throughout the year as well. I enjoy everything about the place.

However, I don’t play more than 10 rounds here per year because when the price is greater than $50, as I believe there are better deals for the money when the pricing is too high @ RiverPines.

Excellent job with Social Distancing for the staff and guest. With concerns of Virus the Course was roped off for distance amongst guest, arrows on pavement directed you where to go. Tee boxes, fairways and greens in excellent condition. Well Done and thanks!

Good course and well organized in dealing with COVID-19 distancing needs. Course conditions were very good with the #6 fairway being restricted because of soft conditions but no real impact on playing the hole. Tee boxes in good shape with some attention on a few holes as can be expected. Practice areas in great condition with good options to prep for the round. Would and will return. Weekday round.
