Interesting layout. Well Maintained corse
Very friendly and courteous staff. Fairways and greens in good condition. Nice mountain course with interesting topography. There are opportunities for improvement but you can tell they’re working on keeping it a good place. Enjoyable place!
Challenging Course
Challenging course that will reward good shots but off-line shots will leave other challenges. Greens were very good but hard to read on both speed and direction. Overall it's a course that needs to be played several times to maximize good scores.
Great local course
Woodland Hills is a great option for my area for a short drive and accessibility from the interstate. Course is in great shape, greens roll true and nice overall course design.
Wonderful experience
Checked in quickly. Everyone was friendly. Pace of play was nice. Course was in great shape.
Fantastic course layout with challenging holes. You need course management to score well here. Only used driver 3 times and shot a 77. Keep the ball in play!! Greens needed a cut but other than that. Course was great!!
Good Bang for the Buck
This was my 1st time playing this course and it was a very nice layout, the fairways were well kept band the greens rolled true. One of my playing partners had played her before so was able give us some tips on where to hit.
Not Great
Many tee boxes sparse (combo of grass, bare spots, weeds). Fairways mostly green, but very firm. No sand onboard the cart, so plenty of unfilled divots in the fairway. All greens like table tops, very firm and fast. Front nine greens in fair/poor condition, with many bare spots. Back nine greens better, but still some bare spots, and a little slower with longer grass and multiple weeds. Paid less than $10 with HD and discount code, and it isn't worth much more than that, unfortunately. The course needs some work, especially the greens. Nice, hilly layout, with multiple blind shots. Pace of play on a Monday was fine, but beware of playing on Tuesdays and Thursdays, as they have their old guy leagues those mornings.
Sunday Round
Course is advertised as hilly and it is, but a good tee shot will get you a easy shot into greens. Layout was fun! Greens have bent grass pretty fast in some spots. Good value for $30 on the weekend, will be back!
Nice Course But If Course Is Busy Have Patience
I just started playing Woodland about 4 months ago due to its proximity to my house. I use GolfNow for really good deals on this course and for the money you cant beat it. Course is narrow with a fair amount of water hazards but very fun. Have patience if course is busy…some days your done in 3.5hrs others are 5.5hrs. Course Marshall may need to manage pace a little better on busy days. Overall it’s good course, and will be my new “local” course.
Best Value Around
$33/person for Friday @ 3pm. True greens, great fairways, fun design, good variety in difficulty, good elevation changes and doglegs; all around, the best course around for the value. The only cons are that the driving range only fits about 6-8 people at a time and only has 3 pins to aim at, the handicaps for each hole were pretty wildly wrong in my opinion, and 2 or 3 of the commutes between holes were either really long or didn’t have enough signs or both (like, 4 to 5 is really long, and 9 to 10 didn’t really have any sign until you drove all the way around the clubhouse, which has plenty of other routes you could take). This is mainly me just being picky; as far as golf is concerned, I couldn’t ask for more for $33. Will DEFINITELY be back a lot. This will likely be my home course.
Woodland
Staff is always friendly and helpful. Course layout is tough for an old man like me but always enjoy the challenge. Greens are a little hard right now but Fairways are in good shape .Rough is not too tall so you can find your ball.
Tuesday outing
Unlike previous times I’ve played I found the course to be in less than average shape. Especially the greens which were in rough shape, aeration included. I’m hopeful they can turn things around to make the drive worth it again.
