Great course. I love this place.
Hilly, rewarding golf course. Hit it in the proper area and you'll be fine. If you catch an undesirable slope, things can change quickly. I'll be back again and again.
Worth the drive!
Course had sustained a ton of rain so the range was closed. The course was in great condition and not overly wet at all! Such a beautiful course and worth the drive to play!! Pace of play was good but on Sundays no course should ever have twosomes playing back to back. That caused some backup issues…
Highly recommend this course!
Super Slow Play
I reserved a noon tee time on a Friday. The course had a tournament in the morning, and ours was one of the first tee times after the tournament. Unfortunately, our round was ruined by slow play. We finished the front nine in 2 hours 45 minutes. No marshalls on the course and the pace of play didn't improve after the tournament.
I get that courses need to host tournaments to make money, but please make an effort to keep groups moving. We bailed after 13 holes because of the slow play.
A Bit Rough
Played Woodland Hills today. As always, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The course was a bit rough today. The tee boxes need some love and the greens were a bit fuzzy and very slow. But here’s where my biggest complaint is. It was 86 and very hot and humid today. There were no water stations on the course and no beverage cart coming around. There were water fountains at the two bathroom stations but one was out. Ended up having to drink some sink water out of the one bathroom on the back side. Water stations should be on every course. Please add them in Woodland Hills.
Pace is Sometimes Slow
Due to the hilly terrain and the elevated threat to lose golf balls down valleys and in water this coursae can play very slow. Played it yesterday and took 4HR 42 minutes to play. That takes the fun out of it and makes for a very long and frustating day.
Good Round
It rained the night before, and we were car path only. Surprisingly the fairways were fairly dry which shows good drainage. Course layout was fun. The greens were in great shape. They had been punched the day before and it looks like they had been punched the week before. Fairways were also in great shape. The food and beverages was very good and a great price point. Definitely will be back.
Good course, Poor pacing
Course is super fun, but being stuck behind 3 Foursomes of older golfers who were going extremely slow ruined the experience for me. Having to wait 10-15 minuets to tee off for each hole takes the whole point of getting a quick 18 in as a solo golfer. Besides that, the course is great drains well specially after a big storm. The greens are currently being aerated every two weeks it seems so give yourself some slack.
Again, Play at your own pace, but when you have a solo golfer, having your big groups allow them to play through would be nice.
Excellent course and value!
My son and I had an absolute blast. Course was challenging with a fair amount of blind tee shots and water, but really interesting holes and beautiful views. Staff was really helpful and friendly. Loved it!
